About the Best Equipment

Obtained from Otherworldly Visitors

The best armor in the game are obtained during the Otherworldly Visitors sub-quest, while the best weapons become available for crafting after reaching Gegham Helgarahi in Rena, although some of the required materials are dropped by the enemis in the sub-quest's dungeon.

Unlocked after clearing the main story

You'll need to complete a series of sub-quests before you get the best equipment. First, you need to defeat the fifth lord to unlock the Spirit Temple. Completing this sub-quest and clearing the main story unlocks Another Hillside Anomaly. Finally, finish this sub-quest and the Otherworldly Visitors sub-quest becomes available.

Devil's Arms Becomes the Strongest

Initially, the Devil's Arms that you get from the bosses in The Otherworld are less powerful than most weapons. However, since they grow stronger the more you defeat enemies, they can eventually become the strongest weapons in the game.
