Similar to using Items to heal and recover from lost HP, items can also be used to cure Physical Ailments such as Panacea Bottles. Unlike using Artes to cure ailments, using items does not deduct from your overall CP pool.
Certain Artes can be used to cure Physical Ailments caught from hits from enemies encountered. Using Artes to cure a character of any ailment will cost CP – the set amount deducted from your CP pool is dependent on the Arte used.
Over time, any ailments inflicted upon a character will disappear on their own. This does not, however, exempt that character from being able to receive the ailment again after it disappears.
Depending on the type of ailment, simply waiting might not be an option due to the effects of some ailments such as the inability to move, leaving you vulnerable to further enemy attacks.
Ailment | Effects |
---|---|
Poison | Gradually decreases HP over time. |
Freeze | Unable to move for a while. |
Curse | Lowers Endurance. Raises damage taken. |
Paralysis | Chance of flinching when performing an action. |
Physical Ailments are negative effects that can be inflicted on any member of your party by receiving an attack from an enemy that can inflict any of the four physical ailments in-game. These ailments are temporary, with effects ranging from the inhibition of character movement to the debuffing of certain stats.
While under the influence of an ailment, the recovery of the Artes Gauge is reduced by 50%. This effect is removed as soon as the ailment is cured or is allowed to dissipate on its own.
