How to Beat Eljarania

To aid in your battle against Eljarania, here are some tips that you can utilize in your fight.

1. Attack with Wind Attacks

Attack with Wind Attacks

Due to its weakness to Wind, arming your party with Wind-based Artes can allow for party-wide, high elemental damage against Eljarania. Focusing these attacks on its Weak Points found at the end of each of its limbs will cause them to disappear one by one until you can come in to attack its body.

Attack Its Main Body

Once all of its limbs have been destroyed, you can now safely approach its central body when it lowers to the ground – attack all out here, and if any are available, launch all Boost Attacks. Alphen's in particular will deal high amounts of damage.

Arm Entire Party With Wind Attacks

By equipping your party with Wind-type Artes and disabling all the rest, you can inflict more elemental damage with your attacks and defeat Eljarania faster. Additionally, Eljarania has the same attacks and strategies as Zacarania, so use that prior knowledge to your advantage to safely time your Wind Artes.

Primary Wind Attacker

As the one in your party that has plenty of Wind-based Artes, she can cause as much damage and mayhem as she can against Eljarania. Focus her attacks on the ends of its limbs first before unleashing a flurry of Wind attacks against its main body once it drops down closer to the ground.

Focus on Attacking

Eljarania, as well as the minions it summons during the battle don't deal particularly high amounts of damage, so you can have Shionne switch between attacking and healing. Even if she does not have any wind-based Artes, her Fire-type attacks will contribute a decent amount of DPS to the boss.

Jump Attack its Limbs

At this point in the game, Alphen should already have the ability to double jump while in the air. This allows you to reach the boss' limbs when they're high above ground, allowing you to be on the attack more frequently. If you have Alphen's Boost Attack available at this stage, using it on a limb will sometimes take it to disappear outright.

Jump Attacks

In a similar role to Alphen, you can have Law try to jump up and reach out to the limbs of the creature. He has limited Wind attacks, similar to Alphen, but has the attack power to make up for it.

Eljarania Attack Patterns

Energy Beams

Eljarania will move its appendages around for a few seconds before pointing them straight down – a blast of energy will spring out from its appendages as it moves them around.

Rising Shafts

Eljarania's most common attack that sees it will sink its appendages deep into the ground. Green-tinted circles will appear on the ground before spiky shafts will rise up. These circles will follow wherever the player-controlled character is, so try and lead them away from the rest of your party members.

Ground Smash

Eljarania will raise its appendages high above the ground before smashing it straight down to the ground. These are easy to avoid as the creature only does this attack without moving its limbs around.
