This is a guide on how to perform Boost Strikes in Tales of Arise. Read on to find out how you can perform this one-hit strike and end any enemy's resistance to your attacks!
One of two ways that can make Boost Strikes occur more frequently is by having a high Combo Count. These can be achieved by performing a mix of regular attacks, Artes Attacks, and Boost Attacks to keep the flow of battle going, resulting in your Combo Count to rise steadily higher.
By lowering an enemy's health, you can increase the likelihood of Boost Strikes. This, in conjunction with having a high combo count, will make Boost Strikes occur more frequently. This results in having fights end much sooner allowing you to save time while grinding.
During combat, upon meeting conditions that allow for a Boost Strike to happen, the word STRIKE will flash on screen. Choose a character using the indicated button for them to trigger their attack.
Depending on which character you have as Battle Members or Support Members, you will need to hit the Switch button in order to be able to select a Support Member for a Boost Strike.
Boost Strikes are essentially one-hit strikes that can be performed against enemies with the help of allies. These strikes are dependent on certain conditions such as having a high combo count or lowering an enemy's HP bar being met before you can trigger an attack.
The kinds of strikes that can be triggered is dependent on which character you select when the STRIKE alert flashes on screen.
During combat, a diamond gauge at the center of your screen represents how close you are to being able to perform a Boost Strike. This gauge fills up with a blue color the lower you enemy's HP is and the more combos you are able to string together.
Although performing Boost Strikes on Bosses still deal heavy damage, it does not result in the immediate defeat of that Boss. Even so, Boost Strikes should still be prioritized as they are the most damaging option at your disposal.
