Level up fast in Tales of Arise by farming Chronos, completing sub-quests, and consuming EXP boosting food in the Land of Judgement. Read on to learn how to level up fast, how to farm EXP, as well as the level cap in the game!
For the most part, leveling up in Tales of Arise can be done simply by completing main quests and sub-quests.
This should have Alphen and the party be in the lv.60-70 range by the time you unlock the Chronos farming method.
The Spirit Temple is a late-game sub-quest that unlocks after defeating Vholran for the first time.
Return to Traslida Highway in Menancia after unlocking The Wedge main quest to start the sub-quest.
Completing this quest will also unlock the Golden Suite of Armor Artifact, which grants us a huge exp boost.
Another Hillside Anomaly is the next quest in the sub-quest line to unlock the Chronos exp farm. Head to the Earth Spirit Temple in Menancia and complete this quest.
Otherworldly Visitors is the final sub-quest and will culminate in a face-off against the boss we're looking to farm, Chronos.
After being defeated for the first time, players can speak to Chronos to challenge him again an unlimited number of times. Each successful attempt will reward the player large sums of exp, sometimes resulting in multiple level-ups after a single fight.
As Alphen and the party get closer to lv.100, the fights against Chronos will reward smaller and smaller amounts of exp., but if the player has an active Golden Suit of Armor buff, as well as the Sushi food exp boost, then at minimum, each successful attempt against Chronos will always yield 1 level.

Exp is acquired primarily through battling and defeating enemies. Below, we have curated some tips on how to farm exp as quickly and as efficiently as possible in Tales of Arise!
The first that that will help you farm more EXP is by unlocking the Battle Chain Bonus. This is a system that rewards your party as you keep winning battles during exploration. You can unlock the Battle Chain Bonus during the Refreshing Roughousing sub-quest.
Refreshing Roughhousing Sub-Quest Walkthrough
Use a Happy Bottle to keep your Battle Chain Gauge high throught combat. This allows you to receive more items and EXP points, which is very helpful in giving you much-needed upgrades to your skills and equipment.
Two artifacts can greatly increase the EXP that you gain from each battle. These artifacts are obtained as a reward from sub-quests that are unlocked during the later parts of the game.
The effects of both the Silver Suit of Armor and the Golden Suit of Armor can stack up to total of 100% EXP Boost. This essentially doubles the amount of EXP that is yielded from battles.
By completing the Their Future and Spirit Temple sub-quests, both the Silver Suit and the Gold Suit are unlocked respectively.
It's also important to cook and consume food that gives you EXP boosts
After consuming food and using a Happy Bottle, you are now ready to fight enemies in the realm. All you have to do is to keep fighting until your cooking effect runs out. You will have a lot of time before you need to recover, so make sure you maximize it as much as possible.
After using up your cooking effects and CP, return to a campfire and recover. Running out of CP is dangerous during combat, so make sure you have it refreshed after a long run.
After recovering in the campfire, you can repeat the entire process all over again until you reach your desired level, and have acquired the skills you need. You can also use this process to farm extra Gald, which will give you better equipment to go along with your new skills.
You can level up all playable characters until level 100. This will take a long amount of time to accomplish, and can be accomplished faster when you farm enemies mid to late-game. After reaching the maximum level, the next way you can make characters strong is by obtaining stronger weapons and skills.
