Does Tales of Arise Have Multiplayer?

No Local Multiplayer

Tales of Arise - Focus on Singleplayer Experience

Despite local multiplayer co-op being a staple of recent "Tales" games, Tales of Arise will not feature local multiplayer. Unfortunately for those hoping to play splitscreen with a friend, Tales of Arise is a single player experience. Players will have to rely on their own skill as they navigate the world, story, and mechanics presented in the game.

Focus on Story

Focus on Story
According to Tales of Arise's producer Yusuke Tomizawa, the decision to not add a multiplayer component is so that there could be a higher level of dedication to the story, so that players can fully enjoy the overall drama and narrative of the game.

No Online Multiplayer

Tales of Arise - No Co-op Multiplayer

Unfortunately for anyone interested in playing Tales of Arise with other people, online play with others will also not be available. Thus, Tales of Arise is a completely single player experience.
