This is a guide on how to use CP in Tales of Arise. Learn how to use CP to heal, revive, and cast support Artes to aid your party members, use CP for map actions, how to increase CP, as well as how to restore CP!
List of Contents
CP can be used to heal the entire party or its individual members by casting Support Artes such as those that Shionne or Dohalim use.
If the Support Arte is already assigned to an action button, press the action button in battle when controlling that character and the Arte will be cast consuming the set amount of CP.

By following these steps, you can assign any Support Arte to heal or buff your characters in battle. These steps also apply to other types of Artes.
Party members that have been K.O.'d while in combat can be revived by using certain Artes. Similar to other Support Artes, using an Arte to revive an individual will drain CP. Typically Artes that can revive a party member consume more CP than other basic healing Support Artes.
Healing and Reviving party members are not the only Artes that use CP. Support Artes that provide various buffs to an individual or the entire party also consume CP, such as those that Rinwell uses.
The effects of these range from increasing an ally's Penetration abilities, to raising their overall Elemental abilities. If you are confident you won't need to heal much, using CP for buffs may be a risk worth taking.
Using CP is not limited to combat scenarios, you can also use CP outside of battles to heal up your party members through the Recovery option in the Menu.
Outside of Boss Fights, getting your entire party knocked out will result in CP being consumed for recovery. Having party members knocked out in combat but managing to win the battle, in the end, will result in the recovery of any K.O.'d party members to 1 HP without consuming CP.
In addition to healing, CP is also used for Map Actions. Map Actions are indicated by a diamond icon with an exclamation mark on your minimap.
These Map Actions are used to clear blockades, heal wanderers on the overworld, and perform other character specific actions. These will reward you with valuables such as rare items and titles at the cost of some CP.
Character | Effect |
---|---|
Alphen | Extinguish blazing fire wall |
Shionne | Heal the wounded |
Law | Break rocks and walls |
Kisara | Purify dense smoke |
Rinwell | Absorb Astral Energy |
Dohalim | Construct gaps |
To increase your CP, simply level up your characters. Every level gained by each of your team members raises your CP by one.
Gigant Zeugles are tough overworld bosses that reward you with Astral Flowers. These Astral Flowers give you +10 Max CP. As they are hard to beat, stock up items before fighting them.
CP Recovery items such as Orange Gel will help to replenish your available CP up to a certain point. Using these will result in the consumption of that item in exchange for a refill of your CP gauge.
Resting at Camps or Inns will completely refill both Health and CP to their maximum values. Camping is a free way of recovering your characters HP and CP and is highly recommended before heading into a boss fight. It is currently unknown if resting at Inns will have a fee.
How to Use Camps: Resting and Rewatching Skits
CP – or Cure Points – are points used for all Artes that heal, revive, or provide various other effects for the party. The amount of CP you have denotes how many more times you can use these types of Artes in and out of combat, with each use of these Support Artes deducting from your overall amount of CP.
Every time an Arte requiring CP is used, a set amount will be deducted from your overall amount of CP. This amount is dependent on what Arte you make use of, with each having its own unique deductions.
Once CP has been depleted, you will need to make use of Items to replenish your CP or rest at Camps or Inns.
