Among these, reduced loading times, graphic, and frame rate improvements are the most noticeable differences between the PS4 and PS5 versions. In addition, haptic feedback helps the players feel more immersed with the game.
One major difference between the PS4 and PS5 versions of Tales of Arise comes in the form of the unique Haptic Feedback present within the Dualshock Controllers of the PS5. With it, you will be able to "feel" every movement and vibration caused by movements in-game, especially when doing cool Boost Strikes!
Players on the PS4 will only be able to turn Controller Vibrations on or off in the Settings Menu, while PS5 players will have more control on the strength of the vibrations in their controller.
Taking advantage of the more powerful hardware within the PS5, Tales of Arise will feature graphics settings that allow the PS5 to switch between Performance and Graphics modes, where the former will limit graphical features in the game to maintain a 60 FPS performance while the latter will allow for high fidelity 4k graphics at the cost of performance.
PS4 players will not have this feature available to them, with both performance and graphical fidelity on the platform locked to maintain a stable performance.
Unlike the PS4, the PS5 will be able to take advantage of its onboard SSD to fully load levels, battles, or cinematics faster than what the PS4 will be able to do. This allows players to have a more seamless experience while playing through Tales of Arise.
Players will often see "Tips" pop-up here and there as they play through Tales of Arise. This is a setting that can be set on or off in the PS5 version of the game, whereas players on the PS4 will need to bear with occasional Tips popping up every now and again regardless of preference.
