Training Grounds Beyond the Dawn DLC Guide

The Training Grounds is back in Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn DLC. Read on to learn the location of the Training Grounds, its rules, some strategies to complete challenges in it, the potential rewards for this game mode, as well as its trophy reward.

Training Grounds Location

Viscint

The Training Grounds is located in Viscint, the same place that it was found in the main game.

Players can reach the Training Grounds by heading to Viscint and walking towards the entrance to Autelina Palace.

When you see the large fountain in between the twin fights of steps, turn right and enter through the ornate door.

Training Grounds Rules

Same as the Base Game's

Rules within the Training Grounds are the same as they were in the base version of Tales of Arise.

Essentially, battles held in the Training Grounds are conducted with their own set of rules. These rules are enforced upon the player whenever they attempt one of the Training Grounds challenges.

Once the player leaves the Training Grounds and returns to the overworld, their battle settings are reverted to normal.

• Game Difficulty is set to Normal.
• Items are unavailable.
• Some Challenges must be attempted Solo, while other Challenges must be attempted with your party.
• Some battles may include special rules.
• Bonus rewards for first time challenge clears.
• Always rewarded for attempts, regardless of clear times.

Unlocking skills are a great way to increase any character's basic fighting power. Consider grabbing skills that help increase your character's survivability since there are no items allowed in the Training Grounds.

Defense Over Offense

Prioritize evasive and defensive play over offense and aggression to secure a victory.

There are no consumable items allowed within the Training Grounds, so the ways in which you can sustain your characters are few and far between.

This goes doubly for the solo challenges for characters like Alphen who have no way of healing themselves.

Utilize Boost Attacks and Knock Down

Boost Attacks are reliable ways to land knock downs and other status effects on your enemies.

Use these openings to deal safe damage to your opponents since they cannot retaliate when suffering from Knock Downs.

How to Use Boost Attacks

Use Ranged Attacks for Safe Play

While it may take more time to do so, it is possible to clear challenges by running along the edges of the play area and repeatedly using ranged attacks and artes to deal damage from a safe distance.

Think of Artes like Demon Fang for Alphen, and Catapult for Dohalim when deciding which Artes to equip for your challenges.

Training Grounds Reward

Successfully completing Training Grounds challenges will reward the player according to the difficulty of the challenge.

• Gald

Equipment

Clearing individual battles in the Training Grounds can reward you with better equipment than what you currently have available.

These battles, however, typically include enemies in the lv.90 range, so make sure to level-up and prepare properly for the challenge ahead.

Herbs

Some group battles award herbs that grant permanent stat boosts to the character that consumes them.

Gald

Items that you can sell for Gald are often included in the pool of rewards for completing challenges. This makes the Training Grounds a viable place to farm money.

Stages within the Training Grounds can be re-challenged once per hour so this method of money farming is time-consuming since you will want to visit multiple times.
