How to Upgrade to PS5 Version

PS4 Disc Version to PS5

  1. Sign-in to account on the PS5 console.
  2. Insert the PS4 disc version of Tales of Arise.
  3. Select the PS5 upgrade.
  4. Choose either "Download" or "Buy at a discounted price".

PS5 with Disc Drive is required

You won't be able to upgrade the disc version of Tales of Arise to PS5 if you don't own a PS5 console with a disc drive. Also, note that you can't use the Digital version of the game with this method.

Disc is required every time you play

After upgrading the game, you'll still need the PS4 disc of Tales of Arise inserted in your PS5 to be able to play.

Digital Version to PS5

  1. Sign-in to account on the PS5 console.
  2. Search for the PS5 version of Tales of Arise on the PS Store.
  3. Look for the PS5 upgrade button and click on it.
  4. Select "Download" or "Buy at a discounted price".

Is the Upgrade Free?

Upgrading your PS4 copy of Tales of Arise to the PS5 version is completely free. Just choose either "Download" or "Buy at a discounted price" when you're ready to upgrade.

Tales of Arise Save Data Transfer

Save data transfer from PS4 to PS5 is not yet available on the game's release. However, it is said that a future update coming this Winter will implement data transfers. The same plan goes the same for Xbox One to Xbox Series X | S.
