Post Game Contents Guide: Is There a New Game Plus?

Start New Game Plus

Players can start New Game Plus after completing the base version of Tales of Arise. Scroll down or click the button below to see our New Game Plus section and learn everything there is to know about the differences of New Game Plus and the things that can carry over on your second playthrough!

Unfinished Activities

Players who have completed the base game and choose to continue their current playthroughs will be sent back to the moment before Alphen and his party engage in the final battle.

This allows players to go back and revisit any activites and sub-quests they may have left unfinished before reaching this point in the game.

Collect All Artifacts

Some Artifacts are needed to carry specific progress from your cleared data over to New Game Plus. We recommend finding these first before you start NG+ so you can continue where you left them in your first playthrough and make your second run easier.

There are also Artifacts that can be obtained from sub-quests with recommended levels higher than the final boss. Take on these challenges and collect all the Artifacts!

How to Get All Artifacts

Defeat Gigants

Gigants are large Bosses scattered throughout Dahna. These bosses are typically much stronger than your party upon first encountering them.

Backtrack to Gigants you were unable to defeat before and challenge them again now that your party is more powerful.

Post-Game Sub-Quests

After completing the main story, you can load your cleared save data to unlock more Sub-Quests.

• Reminiscence Device
• Another Hillside Anomaly
• Otherworldly Visitors

Loading this save data will take you back right before the final battle, but you are free to roam to complete the additional sub-quests along with the other things you set aside until now.

New Game Plus

Beating the game also unlocks New Game Plus. This allows you to start from the beginning of the story while carrying over some of your progress from the cleared save data.

What Carries Over to New Game Plus?

Unlike the other Tales games in the series, there is no Grade Shop in Tales of Arise. Instead, players must gather certain Artifacts to unlock the ability to bring certain aspects into their New Game Plus.

Artifacts allow you to carry over almost everything—such as Skill Panel progress, party level, Arte proficiency, and more from your original save to your New Game Plus.

• Battle Maiden's Shield - Carry Over Equipment
• Broken Machine Gun - Carry Over Money and Items
• Ancient Excavator - Carry Over Levels
• Trident - Carry Over Skills
• Metal Miner's Cap - Carry Over Arte Proficiencies
• Machine Beast Statue - Carry Over Outfits

These Artifacts are obtained from the Special Owls #33 to #38, instead of Outfit pieces that are granted by the first 32 Owls.

New Game Plus Differences

There are no differences

There are currently no noticable differences between New Game Plus and the initial playthrough. Players can instead use New Game Plus to collect missed items, complete missed sub-quests, and challenge the game on Chaos Difficulty.
