Playing and completing sub-quests across different realms is a great way to earn more Gald. This is very helpful in giving you a lot of Gald early in the game. Along with Gald, you will be rewarded with items such as extra food ingredients, crafting materials, and consumable items.
You can farm gald in the mid-game to late-game by doing the following:

Like how Items, Equipment, and Materials can be found while exploring the world, you can also find very expensive Commodities. These items are solely used to sell for Gald so feel free to sell them right away.

Similar to Items, Materials can be collected in the overworld as you explore. Selling these Materials is a highly effective method of farming for Gald, as Mining Points in the overworld give Materials that you can sell, and they respawn fairly quickly.
When near a Camp, you can gather Materials from Mining Points in the area, Rest at the Camp, the Mining Points will respawn, and repeat the process until you have enough Materials to sell off.

Another great way to farm Gald is to complete the Training Grounds in Viscint. While you can only complete this once every hour, you can gain around 1600 Gald quickly. The Training Grounds unlock after completing the Training Grounds for All Sub-Quest in Elde Menancia.

Fishing is not only a fun activity that you can do in the game, but it can also be a great way to earn more gald. Fishing can be unlocked after Kisara joins your party, and reach the first pond outside of Viscint.
The cheapest fish can cost around 600-800 gald, which means having a handful of these, along with bigger fish (which can sell upwards of 1000 gald), can give you huge amounts of gald in a short amount of time.

One other way of earning Gald is through selling unnecessary items to a merchant or at an inn. These include ores, armors, and even accessorries. Having plenty of these lying around will surely earn you a decent amount of Gald.
We do not recommend selling weapons because some of them are needed to upgrade them to more powerful ones. If you don't have a particular weapon needed to make a better one, you'll have to forge it again from scratch.
One of the best ways to farm Gald is during the Elde Menancia story quest. Much of the area that you will be exploring during this quest has multiple Menancia Armored Swordsmen nearby, providing you with an opportunity to farm them. You can keep farming enemies during this quest before defeating the lord of Elde Menancia to prevent them from disappearing permanently.
You can use food that gives you an effect where enemies can drop more items and ores. Once the cooking effect is active, fight nearby enemies to farm more items to sell.
Recipe | Effect & How to Get |
---|---|
Vegetable Soup | Effect: Rare Ore Rate Up S Duration: 8 minutes How to Get: This recipe will be automatically unlocked during the Land of Glistening Radiance Main Quest. |
Eastern Rice | Effect: More Dropped Items L Duration: 10 minutes How to Get: This recipe is only available with the Pre-Order DLC, but worry not, this recipe will not affect Trophy Achievement. |
Vegetable Juice | Effect: Obtained Ore Up S Duration: 10 minutes How to Get: This recipe will be automatically unlocked during the Land of Glistening Radiance Main Quest. |
Lohikeitto | Effect: More Dropped Items S Duration: 4 minutes How to Get: You will receive the Lohikeitto recipe as a reward for completing the Hard Liquor Sub-Quest. |
Happy Bottles help increase your Battle Chain Bonus Gauge, giving you more rewards after each fight as long as it doesn't run out. Use 2 Happy Bottles to constantly keep your Battle Chain Bonus up.
One Happy Bottle costs 1000 Gald, and can be bought from merchants.
Another item that can help you farm more gald is the Lucky Bangle. Equipping this to a party member will increase your item drop rate after a battle. You can acquire this after the Survey Says... sub-quest.
The final step is to keep fighting the Menancia Armored Swordsmen that appear in the area until the cooking effect runs out. Keep fighting them before defeating the Lord of Elde Menancia. Finishing the Elde Menancia quest and defeating Dohalim will prevent more Menancia Armored Swordsmen from re-appearing, so make sure that you farm enough enemies to gain more Gald for your journey.
Gald is the currency that is used within the game world of Tales of Arise. Gald can be earned in several ways, and is used in transactions to buy or sell Consumables, Materials, Weapons, Armor, Accessories, and Accessory Materials.
