How to Cook Food

Pick Up Ingredients

The first thing you need to to cook food is to have the right ingredients. You can find ingredients from chests, and from plants and animals in the overworld.

Also Available in the Shop

You can also buy ingredients in the shop, helping you find important ingredients to complete your recipes.

Obtain Recipes

You can also obtain recipes while exploring the open world. You can find them inside Blue Chests scattered around different areas.

Find a Campfire and Rest

The next step is to find a campfire. These campfires allow you to rest, access in-game cinematics, and cook food. You can choose to cook food after choosing to rest.

Select a Recipe and Character to Cook

Once you're in the cooking menu, you can select the recipe of your choice, and pick which character would cook it.

Skits After Cooking

After cooking food, you can watch a cinematic from the character who cooked it. You can know more about their story, or even experience some interesting and funny moments!

Do Cooking Effects Stack?

You can only cook one meal per rest. Even if you cook the same recipe twice, cooking effects do not stack over one another. Additionally, you cannot have more than one cooking effect active at one time. Make sure you pick the right dish to cook for each situation to help you on your journey!

Cooking Effects Stay Active After Resting

If you decide to rest at a camp while a current cooking effect is active, you can choose not to cook anything before resting. This allows the current cooking effect to stay active, however the remaining effect duration will not be replenished.
