To find the correct path through the Lost Cave, you will need to count the amount of rocks in the room since it tells you the direction you need to go. The number of rocks corresponds to a direction on a clock face, meaning that 12 rocks means up, 3 rocks means right, 6 rocks means down, and 9 rocks means left.
Do note though that there are optional items to get, which are found in rooms off the correct path. Be careful though since one wrong direction will send you back to the start.
