Lumber is a Plank. These items are used as a crafting material for different types of items such as weapons.

You can also complete certain quests that require turning in a specific amount of Lumber.

Craft Charcoal

If you have any spare Planks, you can use it to create Charcoal in the Smelter. Charcoal is an important crafting material later on, as it lets you create Steel Ingots, Orichalcum Ingots, and Asmodeums.
