7. Conduct a Search and Rescue in the Retro Hollow Area
8. Start a New Search and Rescue Operation
9. Reach Inter-Knot Level 22
10. Complete the Commission Via the HDD System

Go to the HIA Club

The Chapter 1 Intermission begins by having the Proxy visit the HIA Club again to try out the new challenge. Clear a run of Agent Skill to move to the next objective.

Go Back to the Video Store

Return to the Video Store and talk to your sibling to receive 2 commissions. The time system will also be unlocked at this point.

Let's Get Through This and Call it a Day

Your objective will change to Let's get through this and call it a day. Finish one of the two new combat commissions you just received from Venus on the HDD to progress. Alternatively, you can do the Survivor Rescue puzzle to help out someone on the street seeking help.

Find the Faulty Bangboo and Repair It

After finishing the commission, you'll need to check the situation outside the store. Here, you'll find Officer Mewmew looking for a damaged Bangboo. Follow the marker and solve the puzzle to find and repair the Bangboo.

This unlocks Mewmew's challenge which rewards Mewmew's Medals and Observation Data.

Reach Inter-Knot Level 20 and Collect 40 Observation Data

After returning to the Video Store and resting on the sofa, your sibling will bring up Reputation Rank-Up. To raise it, you'll need to reach Inter-Knot Level 20 and collect a total of 40 Observation Data.

Accept commissions and complete them on the HDD. Also try to complete the blue markers since these also reward Inter-Knot Credit.

Unlock Hollow Zero

Eventually, you will need to discuss Hollow Zero with your sibling. Head to Scott Outpost and ask around for information until you meet Ray. You will be tasked to complete a run of Qualification Assessment: Edge.

Unlock Remodeling Shop and Bangboo Signal Search

After your introduction to Hollow Zero, you'll head to Turbo Remodeling Shop. This will unlock Bangboo enhancements and the Bangboo Signal Search to get more.

Soldier 11 Agent Story Available

During this period, you will also encounter Soldier 11's Agent Story. You must complete the first part to progress the story, but you can pause it and finish it later if you need to do other things.

Complete the Inter-Knot Reputation Rank-Up Trial

Once you reach the required level and gather enough Observation Data, you'll be contacted by Shepherd, who will give the Story Commission, [Rank-Up] Path of the Proxy I.

This is a challenging commission, but clearing it will progress the story and increase the Agent level cap to 30.

Conduct a Search and Rescue in the Metro Hollow Area

Talk to your sibling after clearing the Rank-Up and follow the markers until you reach the point where you need to return home to track their whereabouts. This will open up a commission called [Investigation] Emergency Rescue. Complete it to learn more about your missing sibling's location.

Start a New Search and Rescue Operation

Check with a Public Safety Officer and any survivors to find more clues about your sibling. A new commission, [Special] Emergency Rescue 2, will be available for you to complete. Finish the commission to reunite the siblings.

Reach Inter-Knot Level 22

Before reaching the last objective of the Chapter 1 Intermission, you'll need to raise your Inter-Knot Level to 22. Once you reach it, go meet Shepherd to receive a new commission.

Complete the Commission Via the HDD System

Take the commission named [Investigation] Somewhat Totally Out of Control and complete it to begin Chapter 2.
