Scott Outpost is a location in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) where you can gain access to the Hollow Zero. See how to unlock Scott Outpost, what functions are in Scott Outpost, shops, and its location in this guide!
List of Contents
Scott Outpost is unlocked by progressing through the Chapter 1 - Intermission Quest Line. This quest line begins after the Cat's Lost and Found is completed.
The NPC Shepherd will arrive at the Random Play Video Store to notify the player about signing them up for a program at Scott Outpost, which will lead to traveling there the next day.
Chapter 1 Intermission Quest Guide
Scott Outpost is divided into two sections on the Fast Travel Menu. The Interior section is home to the Hollow Zero function, which is an endgame mode that players can challenge for rewards.
Hollow Zero makes use of Resonia to strengthen Agents that are deployed to the namesake Hollow. Players need to navigate Hollow Zero under increasing Pressure and other threats, in order to emerge victorious.
Progressing the events of Chapter 2: A Call From the Hollow's Heart will lead to unlocking Ray's Research Log. To view the log, speak to the NPC Ray inside the tent.
Ray's Research Log is a database of Resonia and other mechanisms found in Hollow Zero. There are also rewards for filling up the research log, accessible by clicking the flashing icon in the bottom left of the screen.
Progressing A Call From the Hollow's Heart further will also unlock the Shiyu Defense game mode at the outpost.
In Shiyu Defense, players will need to enter combat and defeat waves of enemies within the time period to earn rewards.
After completing the Speed Chaser and Trace to the Source commissions, and reaching Inter-Knot Level 26, the NPC Ronald will get in touch with the player about Routine Cleanup.
Routine Cleanup is composed of stages that players can challenge to obtain Drive Discs, which are items that can be equipped to Agents to make them stronger.
During the Chapter 2 - Intermission, players can unlock the Notorious Hunt game mode. Talking to the NPC Ophelia in the Interior area of Scott Outpost will allow players to access this game mode.
In Notorious Hunt, players can challenge powerful bosses weekly in order to gain unique materials used in levelling an Agent's Core Skills.
The area outside the tent also contains other NPCs, including a Sentinel near the outpost entrance that the player may interact with to bring up the Fast Travel Menu.
The Outpost Logistics shop is unlocked at the same time that Ray's Research Log is. Players can speak to the NPC Casper in the outer Outpost Zone area, near the tent's entrance, to find this shop.
The Outpost Logistics shop uses Z-Merits, which are obtained from completing Bounty Commissions involving Hollow Zero. Exchange these Z-Merits at the shop for a variety of items and materials!
The player can also find the Association Supplies shop by talking to Casper, in its own tab under Outpost Logistics.
Similarly to Outpost Logistics, players may trade in their Investigation Merits earned from playing through Shiyu Defense and challenging Notorious Hunt for various rewards.
Once the player unlocks Scott Outpost, they can access the Fast Travel Menu and choose either area of Scott Outpost to teleport to.
The Business Car in the Random Play Video Store Parking Lot can be interacted with to also bring up the Fast Travel Menu.
Going into the Metro Station and interacting with the train platform doors will also allow the player to access the Fast Travel Menu.
