Story and Exploration Commissions

Whenever in a Story or Exploration commission, it is recommended to collect all the gold coin-like events in the Hollow. Every commission will have 3 Observation Data you must collect to get what is essentially, a 3-star rating of completing the commission.

Can also be obtained from Agent Commissions

You can also collect Observation Data from completing Agent Commissions, which are the backstory of each character. You can check out Agent Commissions in by inspecting the Video Archive in the office of Random Play.

Gold Gear Coins are a different item

There are also events in the Hollow that may seem like Observation Data, but they are not. These orange coins with jagged edges are called Gear Coins and are used to unlock gimmicks in the Hollow.

Complete Combat Commissions

Combat Commissions will have a list of target objectives for you to complete, in return you get Combat Observation Data. Each Combat Commission can give you up to 3 Combat Observation Data.

These usually include completing the mission within a time limit, or without an agent dying or losing a certain amount of HP.

Collect Mewmew Medals

You can also collect Observation Data by completing the tasks that Officer Mewmew has. It only yields 1 Observation Data per task completed, making it rather inefficient considering the time you have to put in completing the task.
