How to Beat The Defiler

Destroy the Blade During the Tsunami Attack

Destroy the Blade for a Barrier
The Defiler's deadliest attack is its Miasma Tsunami, reminiscent to Nineveh's Ether Wave attack. She will charge up a massive attack before setting off an explosion that is guaranteed to one-shot your active character.

To negate this, destroy the massive sword that the Defiler will implant into the ground during initiating this attack. Doing so will form a barrier you can use to wait out the tsunami.

Chain Defensive Assists Against Miasmic Troopers

Chain Defensive Assists Against the Miasmic Troopers

Another notable attack by the Defiler is where she floats out of the arena and sends forth illusory Miasmic Troopers holding riot shields to charge at you.

When you see these mobs, be sure to use your Defensive Assists on each hit to destroy the illusions, negate any incoming DMG, and render the Defiler vulnerable for a short time!

Use Defensive Assists Against Miasmic Blades

Use Defensive Assists Against the Miasmic Blades

Finally, the last attack you need to pay attention to is the Miasmic Blade attack, where the Defiler flies out of reach and sends forth waves of Miasma at you.

Use Defensive Assists against this attack to send the waves back to the Defiler and forcefully ground her. This will also render her vulnerable for a short time, allowing you to deal your own bouts of DMG!

How to Beat Notorious Marionette

Destroy the Dance Partner Often

The best way to defeat the Notorious Marionette is to keep destroying their partner as much as possible. You can gain about 5,000 Performance Points!

Avoid Spinning Twin Attacks

The Notorious Marionette separates and spins around, dealing a lot of DMG to your characters if they've been caught. Best switch to another character as you see their attack cues to counter them!

How to Beat Miasma Priest

Use Defense Assists for Points

To gain a maximum of 5,000 Performance Points, you must continuously perform three consecutive Defensive Assists during the Miasma Priest's barrage of attacks.

Use Ultimates Often

Whenever the Miasma Priest reels away to gather power, counter it by activating an agent's ultimate as it strikes to avoid taking damage while also dealing it.

How to Play Deadly Assault

Deadly Assault Guide

  1. Use Appropriate Agents
  2. Stage Effects and Buffs
  3. Aim for a High Score
  4. Reset Your Lineup if Necessary

Use Appropriate Agents for Each Battle

One thing to note when braving Deadly Assault is that previously used Agents and Bangboo cannot be used again in the next battle. Each and every battle will require unique teams.

In light of this, it would be wise to identify each boss's weaknesses and resistance before taking on the challenge. That way, you can formulate parties accordingly.

Take Advantage of Stage Effects and Buffs

Use Stage Buffs

Each stage in Deadly Assault will have stage effects that may make the battle a little more challenging than usual. Additionally, they will provide gameplay-based buffs, such as increasing the Anomaly Buildup Rate.

With this in mind, Proxies will be able to better formulate parties based on the buffs and effects each stage provides. Be sure to review the stage buffs and effects and strategize accordingly!

Aim for a High Score for Higher Ratings

In Deadly Assault, your performance rating will be based on how many objectives you can complete during battle. Completing an objective will increase your overall score.

Your scores will be determined by two things: Damage Score, which is determined by dealing a certain amount of DMG, and Mechanics Score, which is determined by performance such as using Perfect Assists and Chain Attacks.

Reset Your Lineup if Necessary

Reset Your Lineup

If you find that certain characters are necessary for other battles, you may reset your lineup to make them available for other stages even after using them in one. Keep in mind that this will reset your records.

However, this will not reset your progress. If you've already acquired three stars in one battle and you choose to reset your lineup, the rewards you can acquire for getting three stars will still be available to get!
