New Boss and Squad Building Guide
As of Version 2.5, the boss Primordial Nightmare has been added to the Deadly Assault lineup. Additionally, the new Squad Building Guide is now available for Proxies to use.
The Squad Building Guide gives Proxies a preview of the teams used by other players against a particular boss, which can be used as inspiration for their own team lineups!

• Agents within Ether Veil have their ATK increased by 15%, and when their Basic Attack or Ultimate hits an enemy, it ignores 15% of enemy DEF. • After an Agent with Assist specialty activates an EX Special Attack, the whole squad's Physical DMG increases by 20% and their CRIT DMG increases by 40% for 20s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. |

• Agent Max HP increases by 30%, Ultimate DMG increases by 40%. • After using an Ultimate, Energy and Adrenaline Generation Rate increase by 15%, Ether DMG and Fire DMG increase by 40% for 20s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. |

These are the current buffs available for this season of Deadly Assault. It would be wise to familiarize yourself with them, as they can help you earn large Performance Points, making it easier to get 3-star ratings.

Deadly Assault Reset

Deadly Assault usually resets every other Friday. This resets all your progress, allowing you to collect the rewards again upon completion.
Season resets will also change the boss lineup and buffs available to you. For the current version, the next phase of Deadly Assault will reset on January 30, 2026.
How to Unlock Deadly Assault
Reach Inter-Knot Level 40 and Unlock Shiyu Defense
Deadly Assault can be unlocked after reaching Inter-Knot Level 40 and unlocking the Shiyu Defense game mode. Once done, clear the Deadly Situation commission to access the game mode.

This effect can stack up to 3 times and resets when the boss recovers from Stun. • Triggering Miasmic Shield Purification grants 1,000 Performance Points. How to Beat Primordial Nightmare
Avoid Control Skills
Avoiding these attacks will be a bit more challenging than usual since they will have no flash indicators when used. Also, keep in mind that players cannot trigger Ultimates.
Additionally, you can only switch Agents once during each attack, with each Agent being able to dodge once.
Force Boss Out of Miasmic Shield State
Primordial Nightmare becomes more aggressive when its Miasmic Shield is activated. You can force the boss out of this state by reducing its Miasmic Shield by a certain amount.
However, keep in mind that Primordial Nightmare can return to its Miasmic Shield state after accumulating a certain amount of Daze.

How to Beat Miasma Priest
Use Defense Assists for Points
To gain a maximum of 5,000 Performance Points, you must continuously perform three consecutive Defensive Assists during the Miasma Priest's barrage of attacks.
Use Ultimates Often
Whenever the Miasma Priest reels away to gather power, counter it by activating an agent's ultimate as it strikes to avoid taking damage while also dealing it.

While Notorious - Dead End Butcher is in Ether Enhanced state, the DMG it takes is reduced by 15%, and the Daze value dealt by Agents to it is reduced by 30%. Triggering Disorder on Notorious - Dead End Butcher immediately forces it to exit the Ether Enhanced state.
• Successfully triggering Perfect Dodge grants 200 Performance Points. A maximum of 5,000 Performance Points can be obtained. |

How to Beat Notorious Dead End Butcher
Beware of the Disappearing Attack
The Notorious Dead End Butcher will disappear momentarily, then an attack cue will appear. Counter it by executing a Perfect Dodge or switching via a Perfect Assist.
Avoid Ether Missiles
This variant of the Dead End Butcher can also gather what looks like ether into a ball; it will follow you and explode. It will chip a lot of HP off your agents, so best dodge it before it explodes.
Counter Torrent of Hits
The Notorious Dead End Butcher will gather ether in their hammer, and once it's full, they will unleash a torrent of attacks that can only be countered by switching via a Perfect Assist and repeatedly pressing the attack button.

Use Appropriate Agents for Each Battle
One thing to note when braving Deadly Assault is that previously used Agents and Bangboo cannot be used again in the next battle. Each and every battle will require unique teams.
In light of this, it would be wise to identify each boss's weaknesses and resistance before taking on the challenge. That way, you can formulate parties accordingly.
Take Advantage of Stage Effects and Buffs
Each stage in Deadly Assault will have stage effects that may make the battle a little more challenging than usual. Additionally, they will provide gameplay-based buffs, such as increasing the Anomaly Buildup Rate.
With this in mind, Proxies will be able to better formulate parties based on the buffs and effects each stage provides. Be sure to review the stage buffs and effects and strategize accordingly!
Aim for a High Score for Higher Ratings
In Deadly Assault, your performance rating will be based on how many objectives you can complete during battle. Completing an objective will increase your overall score.
Your scores will be determined by two things: Damage Score, which is determined by dealing a certain amount of DMG, and Mechanics Score, which is determined by performance such as using Perfect Assists and Chain Attacks.
Reset Your Lineup if Necessary
If you find that certain characters are necessary for other battles, you may reset your lineup to make them available for other stages even after using them in one. Keep in mind that this will reset your records.
However, this will not reset your progress. If you've already acquired three stars in one battle and you choose to reset your lineup, the rewards you can acquire for getting three stars will still be available to get!

Proxies will only have to obtain 6 stars to get all the Polychromes for Deadly Assault. That means each stage will only require you to achieve 2 stars if you're having a difficult time getting a 3-star.
