Ellen Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths
• Powerful Ultimate and Dash Attack DMG.
• Can hold down the Dodge Button to move swifty and easily dodge enemy attacks.
• Hard to interrupt during Dash Attacks and EX Special Attacks.
• Has great teams for both F2P and Premium.
Weaknesses
• Can struggle against large and beefy enemies
• Chain Attack Animation is too long, which makes it incovenient when under a time limit.

Ellen is a powerful Ice Attack unit with high mobility and power. She can easily get away from enemies thanks to her fast Dodge and can deal a lot of damage especially when put on Ice teams.

How to Play Ellen

Infuse Basic Attacks with Ice

How to Infuse Ellen's Basic Attacks
1 Hold or double-press Dodge to enter the Roaming State.
2 Press or hold down the Basic Attack while in the Roaming State to deal damage and gain Flash Freeze Charges.
3 Use the Flash Freeze Charges to infuse Ellen's Basic Attacks with Ice.

Use Ellen's Dodge to enter the Roaming State and then use the Basic Attack to get a Flash Freeze charge. These Flash Freeze Charges can be used so that Ellen's Basic Attacks can deal Ice DMG.

Roaming State Attacks

Description
Hold Down ・Gain 3 Flash Freeze Charges.
・Covers a wide AoE.
・Ellen is susceptible to damage.
Short Press ・Gain 1 Flash Freeze Charges
・Covers a short range and is very narrow.
・Fast recovery from attack.

During Roaming State, you can either use a short press or hold down the Basic Attack to unleash different kinds of attacks.

We recommend holding it down against mobs of enemies since it covers a wide AoE, while only using a Short Press against bosses to recover quickly before they attack.

Ellen's Ultimate deals a lot of Ice DMG. We recommend using it on a Stunned enemy to deal the most damage possible.

This increases Ellen's overall damage output since it increases the EX Special Attack CRIT DMG by up to 50%.
M4 ★★★☆☆ - Decent
Ellen can gain more Flash Freeze stacks and energy whenever a party member inflicts Stun or Freeze. This is especially useful in Mono-Ice teams.
M6 ★★★★☆ - Great
Ellen's Attacks can ignore DEF thanks to the PEN Ratio buffs it provides. This also increases Ellen's Dash Attack DMG by a huge margin.

M3 and M5 are excluded since they are only for skill enhancement.

Mindscape Cinema List and Effects

M1 Glacial Omen
Upon hitting an enemy with a Swift Sicssors strike during Dash Attack: Arctic Ambush, the obtained Flash Freeze Charges are increased to 3. Upon hitting an enemy with a Charged Scissor strike, the obtained Flash Freeze Charges is increased to 6. For each Flash Freeze Charge consumed, Ellen's CRIT Rate is increased by 2% for 15s, stacking up to 6 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
M2 Arctic Ocean Predator
The 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Flash Freeze Trimming can be directly followed up with EX Special Attack: Sharknami. When using an EX Special ATtack, each Flash Freeze Charge increases the current attacks's CRIT DMG by 20%, up to a maximum of 60%.
M3 Overtime-Intolerant
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
M4 Endless Hoarfrost
Whenever a squad member Freezes or Stuns an enemy, Ellen gains 6 Flash Freeze Charges and the Quick Charge effect, and recovers 4 Energy. The Energy recovery effect can trigger once per 10s.
M5 Adequate Sleep
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
M6 The Feast Begins
When Ellen uses an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or gains Quick Charge, her PEN Ratio increases by 20% for 6s. She also gains 1 stack of The Feast Begins, up to a maximum of 3 stacks. With 3 stacks of The Feast Begins, using a Charged Scissors strike during Dash Attack: Arctic Ambush consumes all stacks, increasing the DMG of the current attack by 250%.
