Path of the Proxy II is one of the subquests in Chapter 2 Intermission. To unlock this commission, Proxies will need to finish the previous quest, Trace to the Source.
Complete this quest to unlock the next mission in the questline, Invisible Assistant.

How to Unlock Path of the Proxy II
Reach Inter-Knot 30 and Collect 100 Observation Data
To unlock and accept Path of the Proxy II, you need to have reached Inter-knot Level 30, and have collected 100 Observation Data from HDD stages.
Once you have reached the required level and gathered enough Observation Data, Shepherd will message and meet you to give you a Reputation Rank Up Trial.

As the starting cast for the Proxy, Anby, Billy and Nicole are perfectly fine to use as is.
For Bangboos, Bagboo is a great addition to the team, contributing increased chain attack damage as long as there is one Attack Agent, which is Billy.

Bring Electric Characters
We recommend bringing characters like Anton or Grace to exploit the electric weakness of the machines enemies in Path of the Proxy II.
Notably, electric attacks will make quick work of Heavy Striker MK II's electric attribute shield when it covers its head with its wings.

Inflict Shock to Interrupt Enemies
Aside from Daze, you can inflict Shock via your Electric characters' attacks to interrupt enemy machine actions.
Inflicting Shock will also dispel Heavy Striker MK II's electric attribute shield instantly.
Flank Heavy Striker MK II
The majority of Heavy Striker MK II's attacks come from the front. Try to flank it while it is channeling its attacks to get damage in!
Evade Typhon Slugger's Long Arms
Typhon Slugger's attacks make use of its long arms to sweep a large area beside it. Watch out for red and orange blinks to time Perfect Assists and Perfect Dodges as much as you can!
