In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), managing your Battery Charge and Ether Batteries can make for the most optimal gameplay. Check out the best priorities for your Battery Charge usage and what to use your Ether Batteries for here!
The topmost priority should be Agent Promotion materials, especially upon acquiring a powerful character that you can see yourself using for a while. This may include powerful S-Rank Agents, viable Support Agents, or Agents you've C6'd.
The reason behind this is leveling up your characters will have more benefits in the long run. For example, you won't be able to increase their skills to a decent level if their LVL is not high enough.
Next priority would be to farm for Agent Skill chips, with W-Engine Modification materials really close behind. The more powerful your skills are, the more effective your characters will be, whatever their specialty or niche may be.
Prioritizing which Skills of an Agent to upgrade will depend on how they are designed to be played. Get to know your characters by either viewing their skills in the Character Details screen, or trying them out in the Agent Academy.
Go for W-Engine Modification materials next. It is highly recommended that, upon unlocking Custom Mode in Combat Simulation, that these materials be farmed simultaneously.
W-Engines contribute largely to your stats and, ultimately, your Agents' performance in battle. Keeping their LVLs up to par is crucial for clearing difficult battles!
Last priority should be Expert Challenges, which are for farming Agent Core Skill materials. However, one should never overlook these skills as they can also make a ton of difference in battles.
The reason for this being last is simple—you will be going up against Elite Enemies. If you have not prioritized the ones above, you will be having a hard time clearing this challenge.
The best thing to use your Ether Batteries on is farming Drive Discs above all else. Considering the number of re-rolls you're about to do at Bardic Needle due to not getting the stats you desire, it would be wise to spend them here.
Apart from equipping your characters reliable weapons and enhancing their skills and overall levels, building them with approriate Drive Disc sets with the right stats is one of the foundations to excelling in Zenless Zone Zero
On the other hand, if you wish to reach higher Inter-Knot LVLs in record time, then spending your Ether Batteries early might be right up your alley.
A large number of Main Commissions as well as Side Commissions won't be available until you reach a certain Inter-Knot LVL. For this reason, you can opt to spend your Ether Batteries to speed things up.
Should you find yourself in huge need of the materials previously mentioned, you can opt to spend your Ether Batteries on them, especially if you've finally acquired the character you've always wanted!
Drinking coffee at Coff Cafe has great benefits. Not only will it increase the drop rate of a certain material when farming in the VR Device, but it will also restore 60 Battery Charges for free!
However, you may only drink one cup of coffee per day. As part of your daily routine in ZZZ, always make it to a point that you visit Coff Cafe for your daily dose of caffeine!
A good tip in getting the most out of Ether Batteries is to use them only upon reaching Inter-Knot LVL40. The reason for this is at Inter-Knot LVL 40, S-Rank Drive Discs are guaranteed, allowing for maximum stat rolls!
This will also unlock higher difficulties in VR Device Challenges and Notorious Hunts. While that may seem daunting at first, they will yield better, rarer, and greater rewards!
This one is a little tricky, but can be advantageous if done right. Your Battery Charges will take exactly 24 hours to reach full capacity. If you time this right, you can take full advantage of all 240 Charges!
First, allow your Charges to reach full capacity. Then spend all of them at a chosen time, like 12pm noon. When you log in at 8am tomorrow, you should have 200 Charges to spend, then wait simply wait for the remaining 40 at 12pm!
You can gain as much as 300 Battery Charges per day including the ones you get from drinking your daily cup of coffee at Coff Cafe!
Should you keep this tip in mind, you can wait for the last 40 charges to replenish then drink your coffee!
