The Daze Gauge is located below the enemy's health.
To do a Chain Attack, you need to stun an enemy first by repeatedly attacking them until their Daze Gauge fills up.
Targeting the enemy's weakness or using Special Attacks may increase Daze faster. Also, characters with the Stun specialty will generate more Daze than other character types!

Once the meter is filled, the enemy will enter the Stunned state. You can then perform a heavy attack to trigger a Chain Attack.
| Attack Type | Description |
|---|---|
| An Agent's normal attacks. Its last hit can trigger Chain Attacks. | |
| An Agent's Special Attack is the quickest way to use a Heavy Attack. | |
| Heavy Attack that can only be used after gaining enough Energy. | |
| An Agent's most powerful attack that can only be used at max Decibel Rating. | |
| Can be done by doing a Basic Attack right after a Perfect Dodge. Its last can hit trigger Chain Attacks. |
Heavy attacks can take on many forms like Special Attacks and EX Special Attacks, which are the most recommended.
Heavy atatcks can also include the final hit of the Basic Attack combo, Dodge Counters, Quick Assists, or exclusive special moves such as Qingyi's Rush Attack.
| Stunned Enemy Type | Maximum No. of Chain Attacks |
|---|---|
| Normal | 1 |
| Elite | 2 |
| Boss | 3 |
Depending on the type of the Stunned enemy, you can trigger multiple Chain Attacks in a row, if you have three Agents active in your party.
Do note that the numbers above do not include a Bangboo's Chain Attack. They can be triggered during the Chain Attack mini-game to add another round of attacks. So for example, fighting a Boss will actually trigger four attacks!

After triggering a Chain Attack, you only have a few seconds to choose between your other two allies (if they're both available) who will perform the attack. You will also switch automatically to that character as they perform the Chain Attack.
One new mechanic implemented in Version 1.1 is the option to cancel Chain Attacks at will.
Should you wish to opt out of Chain Attacks and carry on attacking with your current active character, you can use this option to quickly jump back into the battle!
Another new mechanic in Version 1.1 is the Manual Chain Attack mode. With this enabled, holding down the button of the attack you used will not trigger Chain Attacks. Toggle this option on or off depending on your playstyle.
Whan using characters that require holding down the button for certain attacks such as Lycaon's charged Basic Attacks, you can keep this disabled for easier Chain Attacks.
Version 1.1 Release Date and Banners

At the last part of the Chain Attack mini-game, select your equipped Bangboo to trigger its Chain Attack and also the Chain Attack of the character you did not select!
Most people might end their Chain Attacks with an Attack unit. Though this is still quite effective, you might want to try ending your Chain Attacks with a Support unit instead. The reason behind this is Quick Assists.
Suppose you are dealing with a boss. Normally, 5 Chain Attacks will be allowed in this case. However, ending a Chain Attack with a Support unit and enabling Quick Assists can function as a hidden 6th hit, furthering your DMG!

Ending a Chain Attack with a Support unit also proves more beneficial in most cases. A good example would be Nicole's DEF shred against opponents, which only lasts for 3.5 seconds and can be triggered via Chain Attacks.
Ending a Chain Attack with her then having Zhu Yuan do a Quick Assist will make a difference in your overall DMG output!
