As of November 6, 2024, Tsukishiro Yanagi's signature W-Engine, Timeweaver, has now been released and is available to pull for in the Dissonant Sonata W-Engine Banner of the first phase of Version 1.3!
Timeweaver, along with Yanagi's Character Banner, will be to pull until November 27, 2024.

Following Yanagi's banners are Lighter's character and W-Engine banners, the latter of which will feature his signature W-Engine, Blazing Laurel!
These banners are expected to hit the live servers on November 27, 2024 and run until December 17, 2024.

W-Engines are divided into different ranks, S, A, and B, according to their efficiency in combat and ease of use. While it is recommended to aim at getting S-Rank W-Engines, do not dismiss A-Rank weapons as they are also a viable substitue.

W-Engines are also subdivided into 5 Specialties that are suited for an Agent's unique playstyle. It is best to equip W-Engines to the Agent that share the same specialty to fully utilize it's unique effect.
W-Engines are gear that mainly increases the ATK stat when equipped like weapons. These function as the ''weapons'' of Zenless Zone Zero, thus, each Agent can only equip one W-Engine. They can be upgraded and modified to increase the stats and effects that they provide.
Other than the ATK stat, these gear also boost other stats listed under their Advanced Stats.
Equipping W-Engines also gives the Agent access to buffs that can be used in battle. Each W-Engine has a different effect so make sure to equip ones that match your playstyle!

W-Engines can be obtained through the ZZZ's gacha system, Signal Search. You'll need Master Tapes and Encrypted Master Tapes to pull from the gacha, which can be bought using Polychromes.

There is a Gadget Shop named Box Galaxy in Sixth Street where you can buy W-Engines using W-Engine modification materials, W-Engine Chips, and Dennies.
Both the W-Engine modification materials and W-Engine Chips can be obtained by recycling W-Engines that you don't use in the same Gadget Shop.

You can also get certain W-Engines from the Proxy Primer by completing missions. Proxy Primer trials can be completed naturally as you progress through the game.

Upgrading W-Engines requires W-Engine Power Sources. This increases their level along with their Base ATK.
Once the W-Engine hits its current level cap, you can Modify it with W-Engine Components to increase the level cap and its Advanced Stats. This can only be done a certain number of times, possibly until it hits lv80 or lv90.
If you happen to have duplicates of a W-Engine, you can use them to Update the copy that you are using to improve the W-Engine's effect. You can Update a W-Engine four times before it becomes a 5-star gear and have its unique effect maxed out.
