• Can deal a huge amount of Daze DMG. • Has the ability to increase the Stun Multiplier, which increases the DMG to Stunned enemies. • Can decrease the enemy's Ice RES, which is extremely useful for Ice-centric teams. |
|||
Weaknesses | |||
• Attacks are short ranged, so Lycaon can be easily interrupted. |
Lycaon is a powerful Stun unit who specializes in dealing tons of Daze with his Basic Attacks and can increase the DMG taken by Stunned enemies.
Lycaon can be used well on any team as their Stun unit, but he excels on Ice teams thanks to his Ice RES shred.

This build makes the most out of Lycaon's Daze and makes him deal a decent amount of damage. Having Energy Regen on Lycaon is also important so that he can use his EX Special Attacks more frequently.
Shockstar Disco provides extra Daze to all of Lycaon's attacks and Swing Jazz increases his Energy Regen.

Corin would be Lycaon's best free-to-play Attack unit since both of them can activate each other's Core Skills. Soukaku can increase Corin's damage with her ATK buffs.

Lycaon is the best Stun unit for Ellen since he can dish out a lot of Daze DMG and increase the stunned enemy's damage taken and provide Ice RES shred.
This combined with Soukaku's own DMG buffs will significantly increase Ellen's overall damage output.
W-Engine | Effect | |
---|---|---|
1 | The Restrained | Binding Chains When an attack hits an enemy, DMG and Daze from Basic Attacks increase by 6% for 8s, stacking up to 5 times. This effect can trigger at most once during each skill. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
2 | Blazing Laurel | Flowing Flame Upon launching a Quick Assist or Perfect Assist, the equipper's Impact increases by 25% for 8s. When the equipper launches and hits an enemy with a Basic Attack, Wilt will be applied to the target for 30s, stacking up to 20 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When any squad member hits an enemy, for every stack of Wilt applied to the target, the CRIT DMG of the Ice DMG and Fire DMG dealt by that attack increases by 1.5%. Only one of this effect can be active at a time in the same squad. |
3 | Ice-Jade Teapot | Ringing Melody When a Basic Attack hits an enemy, the equipper gains a stack of Tea-riffic. Each stack of Tea-riffic increases the Impact of the equipper by 0.7%, for 8s, stacking up to 30 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. When gaining Tea-riffic, if the equipper has 15 or more stacks of Tea-riffic, the ATK of all squad members increases by 20% for 10s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |
4 | Hellfire Gears | Passionate Construction While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/s. When using an EX Special Attack, the equipper's Impact is increased 10% for 10s, stacking up to 2 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
5 | Steam Oven | Thick Broth For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper's Impact increases by 2%, stacking up to 8 times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for 8 more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
6 | Precious Fossilized Core | Behemoth Hunter When the target's HP is no lower than 50%, the equipper inflicts 10% more Daze to the target. When the target's HP is no lower than 75%, this bonus is further enhanced by 10%. |
The Restrained is easily Lycaon's Best W-Engine as it provides more Daze for his Basic Attacks.
Drive Disc | Rating and Merits |
---|---|
Shockstar Disco
(4-pc) Swing Jazz (2-pc) |
★★★ - Best Set! Shockstar Disco increases Lycaon's Impact and lets his attacks deal more Daze to enemies which synergize well with his kit. 2-piece Swing Jazz increases Lycaon's Energy Regen which allows him to do more EX Special Attacks. |
Shockstar Disco
(4-pc) Polar Metal (2-pc) |
★★☆ - 2nd Best Polar Metal can be used instead of Swing Jazz if you want Lycaon to deal more DMG to enemies. |
Skill | Priority | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Core Skill | ★★★★★ | Lycaon's Core Skill increases his Daze, which is an important stat for Stun characters like him. |
Basic Attack | ★★★★★ | You will be using Lycaon's Basic Attacks for the most part when he is on the field. |
Dodge | ★★☆☆☆ | While this increases the Daze when upgraded, you won't be using Lycaon's Dash Attack that often when you get used to him. |
Assist | ★☆☆☆☆ | Lycaon's Assist Skill allows him to deal some Daze, but it's less of a priority compared to his other Skills. |
Special Attack | ★★★★☆ | You will be using Lycaon's Special Attack as your main DMG source, so upgrade this alongside her Core Skill. |
Chain Attack | ★★★★☆ | Upgrade Lycaon's Ultimate after his Basic Attack since his Ultimate inflicts a ton of daze against enemies. |
Lycaon mostly accumulate Daze using his basic attacks, so it should be the first thing to maximize first. Upgrade his Core Skill next as this increases his Daze. You can then upgrade Special Attack for more damage or Chain Attack for a ton of daze depending on what you need.

Lycaon's Basic and Special Attacks deal a lot more Daze when held down. So we recommend holding down the Basic Attack and Special Attack to stun the enemy as soon as you can.
Lycaon Daze Combo |
---|
Charged EX Special Attack 2x → Charged Basic Attack Combo → Repeat Until Stunned |
Do two Charged EX Specials and then transition into a Charged Basic Attack Combo. Repeat the combo until the enemy is stunned. This combo will easily Stun enemies in no time.
When Lycaon attacks a stunned enemy, the Stun DMG multiplier will increase. Make sure to attack the stunned enemy with Lycaon before switching to the Attack unit.
This can only work if there's another Ice or Victoria Housekeeping Co. agent in the party.
Lycaon's Ultimate can deal a great amount of Daze onto enemies at a wide AoE. This is very useful if you need to Stun multiple enemies.

Why We Recommend It | |
---|---|
C1 | ★★★★★ - Amazing Lycaon's EX Special Attack gets an increased amount of Daze, which makes his already amazing Stunning capability a lot better. |
C2 | ★★★☆☆ - Good Lycaon gains more Energy after Stunning an enemy or through other units' Chain Attacks. This helps him use his EX Special Attack more often. |
C4 | ★★☆☆☆ - Okay Lycaon can now gain a shield if he gets attacked while using a Basic or Special Attack. Very useful to avoid interruption, but it doesn't improve his kit that much. |
C6 | ★★★☆☆ - Good Lycaon's charged attack deals increased DMG. It improves Lycaon's DMG output but isn't really needed since he's a Stun character. |
C3 and C5 are excluded since they are only for skill enhancement.
Cinema Effect | |
---|---|
M1 | Full Moon Momentum When Lycaon's EX Special Attack hits an enemy, the attack's Daze increases by 12%. This effect can trigger once every 8s. When he charges his EX Special Attack to completion, this buff will increase by an additional 10%. |
M2 | Energy Feedback When Stunning an enemy or triggering a squad member's Chain Attack, Lycaon gains 5 Energy. Can trigger once every 1s. |
M3 | Attendant Training Basic Attack, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |
M4 | Graceful Demeanor If Lycaon is attacked while using a Basic Attack or Special Attack, he will immediately gain a Shield effect equal to 7.5% of his max HP, lasting for 15s. During the Shield's duration, his Anti-Interrupt level is increased. This effect can trigger once every 15s. |
M5 | Alpha Nature Basic Attack, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |
M6 | Ruthless Hunter When a charged attack hits an enemy, the target suffers 10% increased DMG from Lycaon, stacking up to 5 times and lasting 12s. Only one stack can be gained per skill use, and repeated triggers reset the duration. |

I want this as well. Im thinking of making him have a high anomaly proficiency so he can freeze characters more and with 4 piece Polar Ice disc his attacks would be higher. ... Im not sure tho if that's a good build.

This is exactly the combo pattern they should try out. The only hint is when his booster legs lights up after basic attacks, hold the attack button consecutively for his leg combos. Lycaon can hear a WHRRR to his tumble, acrobatic attacks.
