Ultimate and Decibel Rating Guide

Your character can execute their Ultimate when the Decibel Rating is at maximum in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ). Check out how to fill up the Decibel Rating and how to perform an Ultimate in this guide!

How to Do an Ultimate

Reach 3000 Decibel Rating

Before you can perform an Ultimate, you must first increase your Decibel Rating to 3000. You can build up the rating by attacking enemies, which becomes faster when doing actions like Chain Attacks, Dodge Counters, and Assist Follow-Ups.

Press the Ultimate Button When the Decibel Rating is Full

The controls listed above is for the Xbox version of the game.

Once the Decibel Rating reaches maximum, press the Ultimate button to perform your active character's Ultimate attack. The Ultimate icon will also light up to indicate that it is ready to use.

When to Use Ultimates

Stun the Enemy First Before Using an Ultimate

Filling up an enemy's Daze gauge causes them to enter the Stunned state, immobilizing them and increasing the damage they receive. This is the best time to use your reserved Ultimate to maximize the damage it deals.

How to Daze and Stun an Enemy

Use It as an Opening Attack

If you start a boss fight with a full Decibel Rating, you can use your Ultimate right away to take a chunk off the target's health instantly. This allows you to build up the Decibel Rating again as you fill up the boss' Daze Gauge before using your next Ultimate once it's Stunned.
