Vivian is best used in a team with another Anomaly unit of a different attribute. Vivian's role is to inflict Corruption whether she's on or off the field.
After triggering Corruption, switch to another Anomaly unit and inflict another Attribute Anomaly to trigger Disorder.
| Alternative | Explanation |
|---|---|
Yanagi | Anomaly Replacement Yanagi can be your second Anomaly unit. Yanagi can help trigger Disorder through her kit. |
Jane | Anomaly Replacement Jane is a strong Anomaly unit and appreciates being on-field for the most part. |
Piper | Anomaly Replacement Piper is an A-Rank Anomaly unit and appreciates being on-field for the most part. |
Astra | Support Replacement Astra can be used to provide ATK and DMG buffs to the party. She can restore HP with her Ultimate. |

These W-Engines are rated based on their performance at Update Level 0.
| W-Engine | Effect | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
Silver Spiked Feathers Increases Anomaly Buildup Rate by 40%. When the equipper deals Ether DMG, their Anomaly Proficiency increases by 20 for 5s, stacking up to 6 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s, and repeated triggers reset the duration. |
| 2 |
|
Lingering Cries Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
| 3 |
|
Kiss of Death When there are enemies inflicted with Attribute Anomaly on the field, the equipper's ATK increases by 10% and they deal an additional 15% more DMG to the target. |
| 4 |
|
Data Flood Increases ATK by 12%. When using a Special Attack or an EX Special Attack, the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency is increased by 25 for 8s, stacking up to 3 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
| 5 |
|
Fuel on the Rocks While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/s. Hitting an enemy with an EX Special Attack or Assist Attack, the equipper's DMG increases by 3.5%, max 10 stacks lasting for 6s, triggering once every 0.3s. While off-field, the stack effect is doubled and repeated triggers reset the duration. Once DMG increase is in effect, if current stacks are greater than or equal to 5, Anomaly Proficiency increases by 50. This does not stack and lasts for 6s. |
| 6 |
|
Collision Potential When EX Special Attack hits an enemy, one of three possible effects is randomly triggered for 5 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. The same types of effects cannot stack. Repeated triggers reset the duration, allowing several effects to be active at once: increases the equipper's ATK by 8%, increases the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency by 40, or increases the equipper's Anomaly Buildup Rate by 25%. |
Flight of Fancy is Vivian's best W-Engine since it massively increases her Anomaly Buildup and Anomaly Proficiency. You can use other W-Engines that provide a lot of Anomaly Proficiency.

| ★☆☆☆☆ | You can skip upgrading Vivian's Dodge since she doesn't stay on-field for long. | |
| ★★★☆☆ | You can save Vivian's Assist for last since it contributes the least amount of Daze. | |
| ★★★★★ | Vivian's Skill is necessary to upgrade since it's an important part of her rotations. | |
| ★★★★☆ | Vivian's Chain Attack is great to upgrade simply for the damage it deals. |

Vivian's main gimmick is being able to use her Basic Attacks or EX Special Attack to enter the Noblewoman state, allowing her to gain Flight Feathers. Having Flight Feathers puts her into the Fluttering Frock state.
Flight Feathers allow her to perform special attacks in the Fluttering Frock state, consuming Flight Feathers and gaining Guard Feathers in return.

Guard Feathers enables her off-field role since her Ether Anomaly Buildup comes into play when another team member uses their EX Special Attack.
Performing an EX Special Attack with another member launches a Featherbloom attack from Vivian, consuming Guard Feathers. This is Vivian's main source of off-field damage.

Vivian's Passive Prophetic Tears allows her to inflict Featherbloom onto targets for massive Anomaly damage whenever another ally triggers an Attribute Anomaly.
This buff to Vivian's damage is only possible when pairing her with another Anomaly or Ether unit.

When inflicting damage Featherbloom this way to targets, this increases the amount of Corruption and Disorder DMG that the whole team can do.

Vivian's Ultimate deals a massive amount of Ether DMG to the opponent, but more importantly recharges her Flight Feathers and lets her enter the Fluttering Frock state.
Use this as a way to regain and enable Vivian's off-field potential when your EX Special Attack is not ready.

Since that's intended towards the player/the MC it does make her an important part of the game. And she's not like fangirling for no reason, she has her own reason. And you can say this literally for everyone - Ellen - she's a schoolgirl that sleeps during the day, remove her and nothing changes, Harumasa - hes lazy and talks about skipping work in every dialogue, adds nothing to the story, Yuzuha - talks only about ghost stories, adds no value, etc. Do you see how stupid your comment is?

Imagine defending a character’s entire relevance with “well others are useless too.” That’s not a rebuttal, that’s a group project excuse. Vivian being obsessed with the MC isn’t deep — it’s lazy writing disguised as romantic trauma bait. Having a reason doesn’t make it good. Not every character needs to be a plot device, but not every glorified simp deserves screen time either.
