EX Special Attacks are a skill in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) that need energy to execute. Find out what EX Special Attacks are, as well as how to do them in this guide!

What Are EX Special Attacks?

Enhanced Versions of an Agent's Skill

Special Attack Description

EX Special Attacks are enhanced versions of an Agent's Special Attack skill. These versions are usually stronger, and can carry additional effects or mechanics that are key to an Agent's gameplay.

How to Do EX Special Attacks

Fill the Agent's Energy Bar

Energy Bar and Button Gray

EX Special Attacks consume an Agent's Energy. Energy is represented by the bar underneath an Agent's HP Bar, and is initially gray. You can see how much Energy is needed to use the EX Special Attack by looking at markers on the bar.

Once enough energy has been generated, both the Energy Bar and the Skill Button will change color. Note that Agents have different energy requirements to be able to use their EX Special Attack, so pay attention to the Energy gauges.

How to Gain Energy

Press the Button Once It Glows

Pressing the Special Attack button after enough Energy has been accumulated will activate the Agent's EX Special Attack. Some Agents allow for repeated pressing or holding of the Special Attack button for extra effects.
