Different Levels of Inky Trust Events

Inky is Alert

During the first few stages of building Inky's Trust, he is alert and cautious of your presence.

In this stage, do not touch or pet him. Instead, watch from afar. Let the cat get used to your presence.

Inky is Quiet

During this stage, Inky has gotten used to your presence, and watches how you react. Players have two options presented to them: feeding Inky, or petting them.

The words inside the paranthesis and the way Inky meows will dictate which option you should choose. The biggest thing to note is you shouldn't pet it when it's (Maybe...?) because it will result in a Trust decrease.

Stock Up on Cat Food

Make sure you stock up on cat food from the 141 Convenience Store! Not having one to give when choosing to feed Inky leads to an automatic event failure, but does not result in a Trust Decrease.

Multiple Cats

Increase	Play with them...
Significant Increase	Pull out a can of cat food... Feed the little black cat.

Sometimes, Inky will be surrounded with multiple cats. This is the best Trust event for Inky, as there are choices that could either increase or significantly increase the Trust Level!

Inky is Friendly

Once Inky has warmed up to you, there are two possible scenarios that could happen when interacting with Inky. The correct answer that triggers a Trust Increase will depend on how Inky meows when it greets you at the start.

Note that this only applies once you've passed Trust Rank 3 since Inky's greeting at Trust 2 or below is different.

Inky Wants to Play

After hitting Trust Rank 3, you'll occasionally encounter an event where Inky wants to play Hide and Seek with you. Choosing to play and finding Inky will result an increased Trust level.

Inky Trust Commissions

Spending Time with Inky (Rank 1)

Spending Time with Inky is the first Trust Commission for Inky and is unlocked by completing Mole in the Hole and Chapter 2 Interlude. Soldier 11 will appear nearby Inky when this Commission is available.

Finishing this Commission will result in Inky getting Trust Rank 1!

Spending Time with Inky Quest Guide

Warrior of the Abyss Needs Backup

Warrior of the Abyss Needs Backup starts with two NPCs in front of 141 Convenience Store. They appear once this quest becomes available, and this unlocks the feature to feed Inky cat treats!

Inky's Request (Rank 2)

The second Rank Up Trust Commission is Inky's Request. Soldier 11 will once again appear nearby Inky when this Commission is available.

Finishing this Commission will result in Inky getting Trust Rank 2!

Inky's Request Quest Guide

Inky with Soldier 11

Midway between Rank 2 and Rank 3, Soldier 11 can be randomly seen hanging out with Inky in the Alley. Regardless of your dialogue choices, your Trust with Inky will always increase at the end of this event.

Completing this event will unlock the random event where Inky is surrounded by multiple cats.

Eat Up, Inky (Rank 3)

The third Rank Up Trust Commission is Eat Up, Inky, and like the previous Commission Soldier 11 appears nearby when this Commission is available. They will be in the exact same location as Inky's Request, and it will also happen during the Evening.

Finishing this Commission will result in Inky getting Trust Rank 3!

Eat up, Inky Quest Guide

A Date With the Black Cat (Rank 4)

The fourth and final Trust Rank Up Commission is called A Date With the Black Cat, and it will start the same the previous Trust Commissions have with Inky and Soldier 11 in the same location behind 141 Convenience Store.

This can only be played during Evening to Midnight and unlocks the ability to adopt Inky into your home!

Complete "Adoption Plan" to Adopt Inky

You'll be able to officialy adopt Inky the day after completing “A Date With the Black Cat”. You'll also be able to rename the cat, and once that's done, it will now stay inside the Random Play Video Store. You'll also get the Good News! We've Got a Cat achivement.
