The Outer Worlds 2 Mix Liquid Tracer or Not

It is best to mix the tracer into the sample of Perspective since it gives you more rewards during the Controlling for Convenience side quest in Outer Worlds 2. Read on to learn whether it is better to mix in the liquid tracer or not in Controlling for Convenience!

Mix the Liquid Tracer More rewards but less EXP, and unlocks an ending where the Order tracks down Sub Rosa to prevent the drug from spreading.
Do not Mix the Liquid Tracer Less rewards but more EXP, and Sub Rosa will replicate the drug and be a problem later down the line.

During the middle of the Controlling for Convenience quest, you will have the option to mix the liquid tracer Laureate Beckett gave you to track the Sub Rosa.

The main difference is that you will either get more EXP at the cost of one modifier for the Plasma Pistol. It will also change the ending of Sub Rosa depending on the decision, but this is entirely subjective.

It would be best to mix the liquid tracer because you receive the same rewards, but receive an additional modifier and reputation from The Order. During this moment in the game, you should already be at a high enough level.

The only difference in mixing the liquid tracer or not is the ending you will receive and how Sub Rosa ends up. The ending itself is miles better as the drug becomes rampant if left in their hands.
