Should You Choose Peace or War

In the side quest Imprisoned by the Realm of Reality, you'll have a choice between Anchoress Chao or Brun that rewards missable armor or weapon in The Outer Worlds 2. Learn which missable gear is better should you choose one over the other!

Locks you out of the weapon reward given by Brun.
Choose Brun Rewards you with the Sawed-Off Heavy Machine Gun.

Locks you out of the armor reward given by Anchoress Chao.

During the side quest Imprisoned by the Realm of Reality, you'll decide to choose between Anchoress Chao or Brun. Choosing Anchoress Chao grants you a missable armor while choosing Brun grants you a missable weapon. Both options do not affect the story.

Should You Choose Anchoress Chao or Brun?

Choose Anchoress Chao for the Missable Armor

Chao option

Choosing Anchoress Chao is the better option as the missable armor Repellent Awakened Seer Robes provides a rare combination of stats and benefits. On the other hand, the missable weapon Sawed-Off Heavy Machine Gun is good but can be recreated with similar stats.

Take note that you can only choose one reward and there is no way to obtain both.

Choose Brun if You Prefer the Missable Weapon

Brun option

You can choose Brun if you prefer the missable weapon Sawed-Off Heavy Machine Gun. While we recommend choosing the missable armor, this weapon still provides good damage and has more value when it comes to Bits.

To clarify, we mainly recommend the armor piece since the weapon that Anchoress Brun provides you can be easily replicated through crafting. However, it should be said that the weapon is fairly strong in terms of stats, but it is a matter of what build you are going for.
