Examine the Protectorate Chest at Skycutter A102's Basement

On the northern half of Paradise Island is Skycutter A102. Inside the building, head down to the basement and eliminate the two Raptidon Hunters. Then, examine the Chest beside the dead body in the corner of the room to start the quest.

Complete An Aegis Against the Miasma to get a Shield to pass the Zyranium hazard on the western bridge. |
| Pass the Bridge of the Reverent (Central Bridge) |
Option 1: Complete For Whom the Bridge Tolls to have a guard let you pass freely. Requires Speech 3 skill check to finish the quest. Option 2: Fight your way through the bridge, killing all the guards there. Option 3: Use a stealth path towards the side of the bridge's main entrance, getting past the guards and lowering the northern bridge yourself. |

Complete The Saga of Malfunctioning Mechanicals to get info on a secret path, located on the eastern part of the island. Requires Thruster Boots (obtained during the A Final Death for Gravity side quest). |

First Protectorate Armorial ID
In the basement, beside the Protectorate Cadre Vestige (the chest), lies a corpse. Loot the body to obtain the First ID and the Skycutter Entrance Key, which allows you to unlock the door upstairs that leads to the rest of the building (without needing Lockpick 3 or wasting a Mag-Pick).
Second Protectorate Armorial ID
Go upstairs from the chest to find a locked door leading deeper into the building. Unlock it with the Entrance Key or Lockpick 3, then climb through the shattered window.
The Second ID can be found on a body to the right of the broken elevator. Be prepared for a fight, as approaching it will activate hostile automechs: two dragoons, two wasps, and two security turrets.
Third Protectorate Armorial ID
The Third ID is located on Deck 3. To reach it, climb the staircase behind the elevator on the Ground Deck to access Deck 2, then continue upward using either the ladders or stairs to reach Deck 3.
The body holding the ID is located on the southern catwalk of Deck 3.
Fourth Protectorate Armorial ID
| Step-by-step Walkthrough | |

| 1 |  From the previous body, jump back to the elevator and turn left. Climb the yellow ladder to get up to Deck 4. |
| 2 |  After climbing the ladder, mantle up the nearby crates and walk on the hanging catwalk path. Follow it and turn right to jump towards Deck 5. |
| 3 |  Now on Deck 5, run past the elevator and up the stairs ahead. On top of the stairs is a long ladder that climbs all the way to Deck 6. |
| 4 |  On Deck 6 after climbing the ladder, walk straight ahead to find the body holding the Fourth ID, leaning up against the elevator. The body also holds the Skycutter Lift Override Key, which you must take to fix the elevator to get to the final floor. |
Fifth and Final Protectorate Armorial ID
| Step-by-step Walkthrough | |
|---|---|
| 1 |  With the Skycutter Lift Override Key, access the Terminal and restart the lift. |
| 2 |  The lift will take two minutes to fully restart, during which you will constantly be attacked by Raptidons. Defend yourself until the lift comes down. |
| 3 |  Once the Elevator is ready, head on up to Deck 7. |
| 4 |  Head outside through the door right down the hallway. |
| 5 |  Once outside, turn left towards the body holding the Fifth and Final ID. The body is also holding the Control Panel Schematics, which you need for the Ascent in the Howling Tower side quest. ▶︎ Ascent in the Howling Tower Walkthrough |
Return to the Protectorate Cadre Vestige ID
With all five IDs collected, return to the basement using the elevator. Once back at the Protectorate Cadre Vestige, unlock it using all five IDs to complete the quest and claim the loot inside, along with 810 XP.
Inside the chest is a Trauma Kit, 934 Bits, an Advanced Decryption Key, and a Datapad Log written by one of the dead troopers.
