Talk to Huell in Fairfield

Outer Worlds 2 Huell Location

Talk to Huell Chaudry in Fairfield. He can be found standing in front of the building south of town. This will start the Perilous Journey to the Grove side quest, where he’ll ask you to meet Jackson Plum in Spire Grove.

Start A Final Death for Gravity

Outer Worlds 2 Cliffside

From Fairfield, head southwest to the cargo lift beside the mountain. If your Engineering skill is at least level 3, you can interact with the lift to take you up the mountain. Otherwise, turn right from the lift and take the slope along the cliffside to climb up.

Once you've reached Spire Grove, approach the tower ahead, and Jackson Plum will drop to the ground. Inspect his corpse to trigger a cutscene and begin the A Final Death for Gravity side quest.

Loot the Plasma Thruster Boots

Outer Worlds 2 Loot Thruster Boots

After speaking with the Integrators, loot Jackson Plum’s corpse to acquire the Plasma Thruster Boots or P.A.L.E.. This grants you the ability to perform a double jump.

Note that the Plasma Thruster Boots will be permanently equipped to your character.

How to Double Jump

Press the Jump Button Again While in the Air

To perform a double jump, press the jump button again while in the air to activate the Plasma Thruster Boots, allowing you to jump a second time.

Using a double jump to break a fall is ineffective when falling at critical velocities.
