Easily Distracted is a “jack of all trades” Flaw in The Outer Worlds 2. Learn how to get Easily Distracted, and see information on its positive and negative effects in this guide!
This flaw can be obtained by distributing your Skill Points widely across different skills. You can unlock this Flaw with points allotted into 5 Skills.
It's important to note, however, that this does not include your specialized skills. As such, the earliest you can get this Flaw, whether you have the Brilliant Trait or not, is at level 4.
List of All Skills
| Positive Effect | Negative Effect |
|---|---|
| +1 Skill Points gained per Level | When leveling, you can only add skill points into your lowest non-zero Skill or any Skill you have no points in already. |
| Description | |
| Your skills are erratic to say the least, but a jack of all trades is often times better than a master of one. You can raise skills fastre, though it'll be harder to ever maximize any particular one. | |
Each flaw has a negative effect alongside a positive effect. These effects can change your game experience so think hard before committing to one!
Best Flaws

When you take the Easily Distracted Flaw, you are forced to improve either your lowest level skill, or a level 0 skill. You cannot level other non-zero skills until all of your skills are of the same level.
Easily Distracted is worth it if you only plan to level a few skills. For example, if you want to make a non-stealth guns build, you can put Skill Points in five skills (Guns, Observation, Leadership, Engineering, and Speech for example) and get the Flaw at level 4 at the earliest.
Once you have the Flaw, you are then forced to equally distribute your Skill Points between your leveled skills. Make sure to never level other skills, as this will only lower the max limit of your skills.

Hey there, thanks for the tip! We've adjusted the description on the page now.
