Pinching the Pupa is a Golden Ridge side quest in the Outer Worlds 2. Read on for a full walkthrough of the quest, including info on how to unlock the quest and its rewards.

How to Unlock Pinching the Pupa
Speak to Biological Designer Bradford or Trooper Wentworth
Travel to Fort Endurance which is located in the northern part of Golden Ridge. Speak to either Trooper Wentworth or Biological Designer Bradford to start the quest.

Speak to Biological Designer Bradford or Trooper Wentworth
When you arrive at Ford Endurance, speak to either Biological Designer Bradford or Trooper Wentworth. An argument will start between the two officers and Wentworth will ask you to head south east into a nest of Mantisaurs to steal a Mantisaur Pupa. Bradford will interject and convince you to give the pupa to her instead.
Find the Mantisaur Pupa
The Mantisaur nest is located south east of Fort Endurance. Prepare yourself for a fight since the place is full of Zyranium Mantiwasps and Zyranium Mantisaurs. Enter the cave and follow it to the end to find the Zyranium Mantisaur Pupa. Return to Fort Endurance with the Pupa.
Deliver the Pupa
At this point, you have the choice to give the Mantisaur Pupa to Bradford or Wentworth. Both choices have the same rewards.
However, the Auntie's Choice reputation points earned will be different; Bradford gives +3 Auntie's Choice reputation while Wentworth gives +1 Auntie's Choice reputation.
Defend Fort Endurance
After making a choice, Fort Endurance will be attacked by Mantisaurs, so be ready to fight. After repelling the Mantisaur attack, the side quest will finish.
Pinching the Pupa Choices
Give the Pupa to Bradford or Wentworth
| Choice | Result |
|---|---|
| Give to Bradford | She will use the pupa for research to elevate her status. Gives +3 Rep to Auntie's Choice. Potentially affects the ending screen. |
| Give to Wentworth | Strategic Ingestment Exec. Wotjek will eat the pupa. Gives +1 Rep to Auntie's Choice. |
Choosing either Biological Designer Bradford or Trooper Wentworth will net the same rewards. However, there will be a difference in the amount of Faction reputation gain.

Giving the Mantisaur Pupa to Biological Designer Bradford will give +3 Rep for Auntie's Choice, but giving the pupa to Trooper Wentworth will only give +1 Rep to Auntie's Choice.
