How to Cross the Bridge
You can complete For Whom the Bridge Tolls, sneak you way into the checkpoint, or kill the guards to cross The Bridge of the Reverent in The Outer Worlds 2. This guide will show you how to cross the bridge and the different ways to reach the northern part of Paradise Island.

Complete For Whom the Bridge Tolls Side Quest
At the entrance to the Bridge of the Reverent, Senior Warden Weintraut will stop you and offer you to bring back two traitors in exchange for free passage across the bridge to the northern part of Paradise Island. While this option is the lengthiest, we recommend accepting and completing this side quest for a clearer path to Vox Relay, as well as to earn XP along the way.
Alternatively, if Inez is in your party, you can offer her to Weintraut in exchange for passage. However, we do NOT recommend this, as you'll lose both Inez and Niles, locking you out of their Companion Quests for the rest of the game.
For Whom the Bridge Tolls Walkthrough
Sneak Into the Checkpoint and Lower the Bridge
You can also sneak into the checkpoint and lower the bridge in the control room to cross stealthily. We recommend bringing a Distraction Device for this method.
| Step-by-step Walkthrough | |

| 1 |  From the entrance, head left and jump down to the ground. Just before the Zyranium gas, crouch into a small hole to enter the checkpoint. |
| 2 |  Once inside, you must get into the nearby building. A guard patrols the area but changes positions frequently, so time your movements carefully when the guard isn’t looking. |
| 3 |  Take the stairs on the left to reach the upper level, where a guard stands in front of the control room. |
| * | If the guard doesn't move for a while, throw a Distraction Device to the right to lure him away. |
| 4 |  Enter the control room, where another guard is inside. Sneak up and kill them as fast you can to avoid alerting others. Pull the switch afterward to lower the bridge. |
| 5 |  Jump on top of the crates on your right and open the hatch to reach the roof. |
| 6 |  Climb down the roof and take the ladder on the left. This will lead you to a smaller bridge that you can cross without being seen. |
| 7 |  Cross the small bridge and climb the ladder on the other side to reach the northern part of Paradise Island. |
Make sure to reach Vox Relay’s fast travel point, so you have a way to return to the northern part if you fast travel back to the south. You can still complete the For Whom the Bridge Tolls quest if you didn’t alert the guards at the checkpoint.
Kill Everyone at the Checkpoint
If you're rushing to get to Vox Relay, you can always fight your way through the bridge. Depending on your level, the guards may be tough. Just head to the control room in the building on the left and pull the switch to lower the bridge.
Note that killing the guards and Senior Warden Weintraut will lock you out of For Whom the Bridge Tolls.
