The Outer Worlds 2 has no carrying capacity or encumbrance system, unlike the first Outer Worlds. This means that you can fill up your inventory without slowing down or becoming over-encumbered.

While there is no carrying capacity, it’s still a good idea to sell junk and old gear to earn Bits whenever you're about to max out your inventory slots. You can also breakdown some items to get rare crafting materials that you can use to make ammo, grenades, inhalers, and more.

If you have important items but want to free up space in your inventory, you can transfer and store them in any available locker in The Incognito instead.
