Mountain Elemental Basic Info

Mountain Elemental take the form of Bears. As opposed to normal enemies, they cannot be skinned and instead, requires you to mine them obtain their materials.

Where to Find Mountain Elementals

Mountain Elementals are usually found in mountainiuous areas. They cannot be found in starting areas so encountering them early in the game will be close to impossible unless the player actively seeks them out.

Ebonscale Reach

Mountain Elemental Ebonscale Reach

Ebonscale Reach has a location you can find Mountain Elementals. You will not find a lot of them but the location is nearby the Ebonscale Reach settlement.

Weaver's Fen

Mountain Elemental Weaver

You can find a few Mountain Elementals on the west border in Weaver's Fen. There is a Spirit Shrine you can fast travel to nearby. You can also use the east Spirit Shrine in Everfall and head to the Mountain Elemental location to avoid higher level enemies.

Edengrove

Mountain Elemental Edengrove

Mountain Elementals can be found near the center of Edengrove. You can find quite a number of them here, with the nearest fast travel location being the Spirit Shrine near the center. There's also one more spawnpoint to the north of the region inside a cave called Knot Rust. There's easy access to this if you can fast travel to the Last Stand Outpost.
