List of All Missable Characters, Items, and Events

List of All Missable Characters

Recruiting Leena

Leena Recruitment

One of the most famous missable in the game is the event where you can recruit Leena. Near the beginning of the game at Cape Howl, Kid will ask to join your party after the battle with Karsh and co. Accepting her offer will make recruiting Leena impossible for that playthrough.

Leena Tech Skills, Weapons, and How to Recruit

Recruiting Mojo

Occult Worshipper Ignoring Shark Tooth
Mojo is one of the earlier characters you can get by exchanging the journey of the fisherman and the occult worshipper in both arni villages. If you fail to get Mojo early on and and switch main characters, the occult worshipper in Arni Village another world will ignore the sharktooth which makes Mojo unrecruitable for that run.

One of the Three Guides to Viper Manor

Involved Characters
Guile IconGuile Nikki IconNikki Pierre IconPierre

Upon looking for a guide to help you get to Viper Manor, you will be presented with three choices among Guile, Nikki, and Pierre. Choosing one of the three characters will lock you out from the other two so do choose with caution. Guile is one of the stronger black spell users in the game while Pierre is a sub-optimal character but spikes strongly if equipped with the Hero set.

Effects of Saving or Not Saving Kid

Chrono Cross Remaster - Kid

Kid will be in a certain predicament which leaves you with a choice on venturing to a different world to find a cure for her or not. Saving or not saving her is a branching decision point which will affect the characters you encounter and the events that will unfold soon.

Save Kid Recruitable Characters
Korcha IconKorcha Mel IconMel Razzly IconRazzly
Do Not Save Kid Recruitable Characters
Macha IconMacha Glenn IconGlenn Doc IconDoc

On a certain note, we highly recommend not going for the save Kid route as this will lock you out on Glenn which is one of the best characters in the game.

Dead Sea Items

The Deadsea is an area that will become permanently inacessible after defeating the area's main boss. The two main items that may hurt the player if not obtained are the Prop Sword which is one of the three items to complete the hero set and the Medical Book for Doc's Level 7 tech.

Vigora from Vita Unus

Vigora.gif

Vigora is a blue innate exclusive element and it can only be obtained as a drop from Vita Unus. It allows the target to not lose any stamina from any actions which makes a blue innate character a must have upon obtaining this element.

Vigora: Element Effects and How to Get

Rainbow Weapons

Rainbow Shell

Rainbow weapons are the best weapons in the game but to start crafting them, you'll have to do some specific steps first and failing to do so will lock you out of rainbow weapons. This is related to skipping the Marbule quest by taking the Black Relic since there will be no Demi-Humans in Marbule which in turn, will make the smith in Marbule where you can purchase the Master Hammer, not appear.

List of All Missable Events

Quest to Save Marbule

There is a unique interaction in Marbule where if you simply “take” the Black Dragon relic, you won't be able to do the Marbule concert quest. This contains several missables including a star level, Irene's, Fargo's, and Nikki's Level 7 tech, the Black Plate accessory, and the Grim Reaper summon.

Razzly Level 7 Tech - Saving Or Not Saving Rosetta

On top of being tied to the Save Kid Route, Rosetta will live or die depending on having Razzly in your party when fighting the Hydra on the marshes. There are other factors that can affect Rosetta's survival but the Hydra boss fight is the most crucial aspect of it. Not Saving Rosetta will result in Razzly getting a unique weapon and her level 7 tech!

Wight Knight Transformation

Wight Knight Location.jpg

The Wight Knight is a unique enemy that can only be fought once. It's available as a transformation for Sprigg and it can use the Negate Physical element which can greatly reduce the difficulty of some bosses if obtained early on.

Doc and Pierre

Doc Lv 7 Tech Skill

Both items related to their Level 7 techs are obtained in the Dead Sea which will vanish after defeating Miguel. These items are the Medical Book and Prop Sword for Doc and Pierre respectively.

How to Beat Miguel

Irenes and Fargo

Fargo Invincible

These tech skills cannot be obtained if you do not do the quest to save Marbule. This is done by defeating the other four available dragons in the game then simply taking the Black Relic from the sleeping dragon.

How to Beat Black Dragon

Razzly

Rescue Razzly

Razzly requires multiple steps to recruit and to get her Level 7 tech. To do this, you must save Kid in order to go to the Home World's Hydra Marsh. From there, rescue Razzly but do not use her against the Hydra Fight. This will prevent the party from discovering the Hydra egg which in turn, will make the hydra's extinct. Once done, progress the game until the dwarves attack the Home World's Water Dragon Isle, if you find Rosetta dead, you would have succeeded in obtaining Razzly's tech later.

To finally get it, return to the Water Dragon island after the events at Chronopolis to find the place revitalized. You'll find a tree on a place where Rosetta died to gain a unique weapon and Razzly's Level 7 tech.

Razzly Level 7 Tech Skil (Raz-Flower)

Leena

Leena Choice

A very easy to miss level 7 tech. Make sure to choose “I remember” and “We'll never forget this day!” when you're both at the Opassa beach during the start of the game. Failing to do so will lock you out of her level 7 tech skill.

List of Missable Frames

Skullduggery Frame

Skull Duggery Frame.png

In Shadow Forest (Another World), use the Aroma Pouch and go towards the round plant on the cliff and interact with it. A small mote of pollen will follow you around. Use this to attract the red slime-like creature two screens to the right. Lure the red blob-like enemy to the sleeping monster blocking the path on the leftmost screen . No fight will initiate and you'll get the frame.

Valencian Cloth Frame

Valencian Cloth Frame

Note that this must be done before triggering the Save Marbule (Home World) quest.

Speak to the blue person at the entrance of Marbule (Another World) before heading to Marbule (Home World). He will give you the Valencian Cloth Frame only if you have a non-human party, so you can't be Serge. If there are any humans, he won't give you the item and will throw rocks instead.

If you do not speak to him before triggering this quest, the frame will become unavailable and he won't mention anything other than the Black Dragon after this.

List of Rare Equipment - Must Have Items

Element Plates

White Plate Black Plate Blue Plate
Red Plate Yellow Plate Green Plate

These are rare accessories that allow the character equipped with the plate to absorb element damage from that plate's color. There are six plates representing each element which can allow you to defeat bosses with ease once obtained.

Obtain Plates Using Fargo

Fargo Black Plate

You can get these Plates by stealing it from the 6 Dragon Gods using Fargo's Tech Skill, Pillage.

Items Worth Stealing | Steal List

Element Brooch

White Brooch Black Brooch Blue Brooch
Red Brooch Yellow Brooch Green Brooch

While not as valuable as the Element Plates, the brooches are good counters to anti color elements and status effects. Most of the Element Brooches are obtained from the bosses in Terra Tower with the exception of Blue Brooch.

Terra Tower Walkthrough

Moonglasses and Sunglasses

Moonglasses Sunglasses

These accessories reduce damage taken and damage dealt by a quarter respectively. The Sunglasses is obtained much later but the Moonglasses is a rare drop and steal from Harle's boss fight.
