Serge Element White	The hero of Chrono Cross, his journey begins when he stumbles into another world, learning the dark connection between his existence and the planet's future.
How to Recruit
Starting character.
Character	Profile
Poshul Element Yellow	A big pink dog who lives in the village of Arni. She is one of the starting characters you will meet in the game.
How to Recruit
Find the Heckran Bone under the bed in the room above the restaurant in Arni Village (Home World), and present it to Poshul. Otherwise, she will automatically join your party in Arni Village (Another World) after defeating Karsh, Solt, and Pepper and choosing not to have Kid join your party.

Cape Howl (Another World)

Character	Profile
Kid Element Red	Part of the famous and feared band of thieves called the Radical Dreamers. Though honest and kind, her heart burns for revenge after Lynx destroyed the orphanage where she was raised.
How to Recruit
Agree when she asks to join your party. Reject her three times and she will join you in Termina instead.

Note: Recruiting Kid immediately in Cape Howl will lock you out of recruiting Leena. It's best to recruit Kid in Termina instead so you can recruit both characters.

Cape Howl (Another World) Walkthrough

Arni Village (Another World)

Character	Profile
Mojo Element Black	A giant moving voodoo doll who wishes to leave Arni Village after being worshipped for years. After beeing cooped up at a basement where he is revered and respected as some sort of God, he finds the perfect opportunity to leave Arni and set out to explore El Nido.
How to Recruit
Get the Shark's Tooth from the fisherman in his basement in Arni Village (Home World). Later, in Arni Village (Another World), put Leena or Kid in the party and show the Shark's Tooth to the "other" fisherman. Mojo joins as you're leaving.

After Rejecting Kid Thrice

Leena Element Blue	Serge's childhood friend in the village of Arni. She has a strong personality, but begins to grow shy whenever the thought of romance is brought up, especially when Serge is concerned.
How to Recruit
After defeating Karsh, Solt, and Peppor at Cape Howl (Another World), refuse to let Kid join Serge. The next morning, Leena will join.

Note: Leena won't join if you already recruited Kid in Cape Howl.

Skelly (First Step)

Character	Profile
Skelly Element Black	A skeleton who once lived a life as a clown. Serge and his allies bring him along in hopes of finding his other body parts and to make him whole once again.
How to Recruit
Approach the dragon skeleton atop Fossil Valley (Another World), then agree to find Skelly's bones scattered across the entirety of El Nido (Another World).

Draggy (First Step)

Draggy Element Red	After hatching once placed on an incubator at Fort Dragonia, Draggy joins Serge and his allies to find what happened to her parents as well as the other Dragonians across El Nido.
How to Recruit
Steal the Big Egg from the Dodo's nest in Fossil Valley (Another World).

Termina (Another) - Viper Manor Infiltration

Character	Profile
Guile Element Black	A masked magician that Serge and his allies meet at a bar in Termina (Another World). He is of the three characters that will guide your party to Viper Manor.
How to Recruit
In Termina (Another World), speak to the man polishing Viper's statue, then talk to Guile at the bar and let him take you to Viper Manor.

Nikki Element Blue	A passionate frontman of the musical group, Magical Dreamers. Nikki is the son of Fargo as well as an older brother to Marcy.
How to Recruit
In Termina (Another World), board the Magical Dreamer's boat and talk to Nikki's manager and Miki. He will join your party after rescuing him.
Character	Profile
Pierre Element Blue	A self-proclaimed hero who guides Serge and his allies to get to Viper Manor. Often seen as a phony, he wishes that people could one day acknowledge him as someone capable of saving lives.
How to Recruit
Find Pierre in the back room of Zappa's Smithy in Termina (Another World). Get the Hero's Medal by talking to the little boy running after talking to the man polishing the Viper's statue. Return the Hero's Medal to Pierre, then talk to him again.

Note: Recruiting one will lock you out of the other two.

Pip (First Step)

Character	Profile
Pip Element White	A lab experiment of Luccia, found caged inside the Viper Manor Lab. Being trapped in Luccia's lab for a long time, Pip has learned much from observing the scientist and wishes to unravel more about what's beyond his cage.
How to Recruit
While infiltrating Viper Manor (Another World), unlock Pip's cage in the corner of Luccia's lab.

Guldove Another - Save or Not Save Kid

Save Kid Route

Character	Profile
Korcha Element Blue	A young boy who serves as a ferryman at Guldove. Korcha is firm with his beliefs, much of which he had learned from his mother, Macha.
How to Recruit
After agreeing to help Kid, ask him to join you after he ferries you back to Termina (Another World).
Character	Profile
Razzly Element Green	A Forest Fairy that Serge and his allies find trapped at the Hydra Marshes. She only wishes to come back to her home, but is delighted to join Serge after seeing his desire to help out allies.
How to Recruit
Agree to find the Hydra Humour to help Kid. Then in the Hydra Marshes (Home World), save her from the Pentapus. If you choose not to help Kid, Razzly will not be recruitable.
Character	Profile
Mel Element Yellow	Mel is the daughter of Macha and the brother of Korcha. She is known to throw tantrums should things not go her way.
How to Recruit
Choose to find the Hydra Humour to save Kid. Choose to look for Mel when she steals Kid's Elements. Find her in the Residential Tower, then return to Guldove (Another World) and talk to her once Kid has rejoined the party later in the game.

Don't Save Kid Route

Character	Profile
Macha Element Red	The kindhearted mother of Korcha and Mel. Although a bit stern at times, she believes that her words is for the benefit of her children's growth as a person.
How to Recruit
At Guldove (Another World), decide not to find the Hydra Humour to save Kid. Find Korcha at the residential towers. After Macha tells him off, she boats you back to Termina. After speaking to Glenn by the entrance of Termina, return to the boat docks and talk to Macha again.
Character	Profile
Glenn Element Green	A member of the Acacia Dragoons. He is also the brother of Dario and next in line to wield the holy sword, Einlanzer.
How to Recruit
Refuse to get the Hydra Humour to help Kid. Return to Termina with Macha, and observe Glenn's conversation at the entrance of town. Then return to the boat and Glenn will ask you if you want to share a boat ride.
Character	Profile
Doc Element White	The village physician of Guldove who is dedicated to curing people in hopes of getting them to see another day. He joins Serge eventually in order to seek more knowledge and to translate all his learnings into service in the future.
How to Recruit
Decide not to find the Hydra Humour to help Kid. Doc joins anytime after Kid is healed by talking to him at Guldove (Another World).

Note: Characters from the route you did not choose will automatically be locked out.

Should You Save Kid?

Character	Profile
Luccia Element Black	An eccentric scientist of the Acacia Dragoons. She is a genius who lives in the name of science. Later in the story, it is revealed that she has connections with a character from Chrono Trigger.
How to Recruit
Return to Viper Manor (Another World) after fighting Lynx. Find Luccia on the upstairs balcony, then follow her down to the lab.

NeoFio Element Green	A living plant Luccia has created with the help of the Life Sparkle. Much like Turnip, NeoFio shares the same sentiments with him regarding her existence as a sentient plant-creature.
How to Recruit
Find the Life Sparkle in Hydra Marshes (Another World). Return to Viper Manor (Another World), go up the balcony, and use the Life Sparkle on the "NeoFio" flower in the pool.
Character	Profile
Greco Element Red	Greco is a big, burly ex-wrestler who has had a tough past that has set him towards a different life altogether. He later joins Serge in order to honor and eventually reconcile with his fears.
How to Recruit
After fighting Lynx at Viper Manor, go to the shrine in Termina (Another World) and follow Greco into his house.

Collecting Skelly's Bones - Optional From Here Onward

Skelly Element Black	A skeleton who once lived a life as a clown. Serge and his allies bring him along in hopes of finding his other body parts and to make him whole once again.
How to Recruit
After finding Skelly's bones, visit Skelly's grandmother in the house to the right of Viper's statue in Termina (Another World). After he reassembles, leave, reenter, and ask him to join you.

Ghost Ship - S.S. Invincible Another

Pip (Second Step)

Character	Profile
Pip Element White	A lab experiment of Luccia, found caged inside the Viper Manor Lab. Being trapped in Luccia's lab for a long time, Pip has learned much from observing the scientist and wishes to unravel more about what's beyond his cage.
How to Recruit
On board the S.S. Invincible, chase him around the hold until he joins.

Lynx Element Black	While his true identity is a mystery, what is known about Lynx is his ruthless and merciless nature, and his drive to do anything to achieve his goals.
How to Recruit
Unlocked after visiting Fort Dragonia.

Dimensional Vortex

Character	Profile
Harle Element Black	The only thing more mysterious than her ability to appear and disappear as if by magic is her true identity. Despite being an aide to the villainous Lynx and always ready with a mocking jab, she still feels compelled to give Serge advice.
How to Recruit
Joins you automatically as she guides you through the Dimensional Vortex.
Character	Profile
Sprigg Element Green	A strange old woman whom Serge meets at the Dimensional Vortex. Sprigg joins your party with the intention of seeing what has become of the world outside of the Vortex.
How to Recruit
Shake the berry tree in the Dimensional Vortex to lure Sprigg out of her house. Sneak into her house before she can beat you back to the door. She will join after resting for the night.

Arni Village (Home World)

Character	Profile
Radius Element Green	The chief of Arni Village. Although old and seemingly frail, he was previously a Deva of the Acacia Dragoons and still manages to pack a punch despite his age.
How to Recruit
With Lynx in your party, visit Opassa Beach, speak with Serge's mother in Arni Village (Home World), then defeat Radius in battle.

Character	Profile
Zappa Element Red	Runs the Smithy at Termina alongside his wife, Zippa. He and his wife are the proud parents of Karsh, the member of the 4 Dragoon Devas.
How to Recruit
Visit Zappa's Smithy in Termina (Home World) with Radius in your party.
Character	Profile
Van Element Green	A sarcastic young artist who often thinks about the situation of his life at the moment. Much of his thoughts stem from his upbringing and the misguided values of his father.
How to Recruit
Go to Van's house past Zappa's Smithy in Termina (Home World). Speak to Van in his room and say that you are serious about finding the Frozen Flame.

Shadow Forest (Home World)

Character	Profile
Funguy Element Yellow	A man in the Shadow Forest who accidentally turns into a mushroom. His helpless situation has made Serge and his allies join the party in hopes of returning to his human form.
How to Recruit
Find the man in the cave under the waterfall in Shadow Forest (Home World). Then go through the underground passage toward Viper Manor. A man will hop out and give you a special Mushroom. Return to the waterfall and show the man the mushroom.

Character	Profile
Norris Element Yellow	A Porre Military Commander and leader of the Black Wind, an undercover investigations team within the Porre Military.
How to Recruit
Visit Viper Manor Ruins (Home World) with Radius in your party, and find Norris in the basement.

Sky Dragon Isle (Home World)

Character	Profile
Starky Element White	An alien from another planet, Starky found himself stuck in El Nido after the crashing of his UFO. He allies with you with the intention of finding his way back home as well as understanding the human heart.
How to Recruit
Find the Star Fragment at the El Nido Triangle (Home World). Then investigate paranormal phenomenon on Sky Dragon Isle (Home World).

Sky Dragon Isle (Home World) Walkthrough

S.S. Zelbess

Character	Profile
Janice Element Red	A demi-human dedicated to training and fighting monsters aboard the S.S. Zelbes. She is very focused to only training and fighting, and only notices those who can best her in battle.
How to Recruit
Defeat Janice's monsters for three rounds on board the S.S. Zelbess (Home World).
Character	Profile
Irenes Element Blue	A beautiful mermaid the party meets at the isle of Marbule. She joins your party with the sole intention of humans being able to co-exist peacefully alongside demi-humans.
How to Recruit
Speak with Toma at Marbule (Home World), then spend the night in the first hut. Irenes appears in the night and leads the party to the S.S. Zelbess. After defeating the Sage on the Zelbess, follow Nikki back to his ship and Irenes will join you once you get to the dressing room.

Sneff Element Yellow	Runs the Sneff Family Magic Show aboard the S.S. Zelbess to pay off his debts to Fargo.
How to Recruit
Speak with him in his dressing room after defeating the Sage on board the S.S. Zelbess.

S.S Zelbess (Home World) Walkthrough

Hermit's Hideaway (Home World)

Character	Profile
Turnip Element Green	A living, sword-wielding vegetable found by Poshul digged out by Poshul from the ground. Despite being a small vegetable, Turnip is known to have deep, existential thoughts, as he tries to figure out the purpose of his very existence.
How to Recruit
After obtaining either the Ice Breath or Ice Gun, use one to cool the patch of scorched earth in front of the large tree trunk at Hermit's Hideout (Another World). Then go to Hermit's Hideaway (Home World) with Poshul in your party and examine the plant that has grown in the same spot.

Termina (Another World) - Riddel Rescue

Character	Profile
Karsh Element Green	One of the 4 Dragoon Devas. Known as a character with a tough exterior, but is actually very compassionate from the inside. He is the son of Zappa and Zippa.
How to Recruit
After The Dead Sea, go into the back room of Termina's bar (Another World). Choose Karsh to rescue Riddel from the Porre Army. If you choose Zoah, Karsh joins later on the S.S. Invincible (Another World) after rescuing Riddel.
Character	Profile
Zoah Element Yellow	One of the 4 Dragoon Devas. Not much is known about him, aside from being a skilled and talented fighter, as well as the fact that he never revealed the face under the helmet he wears.
How to Recruit
After The Dead Sea, go into the back room of Termina's bar (Another World). Choose Zoah to rescue Riddel from the Porre Army. If you choose Karsh, Zoah joins later on the S.S. Invincible (Another World) after rescuing Riddel.

Choose One Among the Two Devas

You can only recruit one of the Devas at this point. Do not fret as the other will will join your party later.

Character	Profile
Orcha Element Red	A talented cook working at Viper Manor. Orcha is saved by Serge and his allies after being possessed by a force that caused him to become hostile.
How to Recruit
Joins in Viper Manor (Another World) when your party rescues Riddel, after attempting to kill the heroes in his evil form.
Character	Profile
Grobyc Element Black	A cyborg assassin of the Porre Military. He fears and respects only those who can best him in battle.
How to Recruit
Defeat Grobyc while attempting to rescue Riddel in Viper Manor (Another World). Upon escaping, Grobyc assists the party and asks you to join.

Hermit's Hideaway (Another World)

Character	Profile
Riddel Element White	Riddel is the softspoken daughter of General Viper. She has spent most of her days in Viper Manor, where she grew up playing games with Dario, Karsh, and Glenn.
How to Recruit
Rescue Riddel from the Porre Army at Viper Manor (Another World), and then return to S.S. Invincible.
Character	Profile
Marcy Element Blue	The youngest of the 4 Dragoon Devas. Often seen as the spoiled brat of the Devas, she is also capable of keeping up with her fellow warriors despite her young age.
How to Recruit
Marcy joins automatically after Riddel is rescued from the Porre Army.
Character	Profile
Fargo Element Blue	Captain of the S.S. Invincible. He has high regard to people who can best him in battle.
How to Recruit
Joins on board the S.S. Invincible after rescuing the party on Hermit's Hideaway (Another World) during the latter half of the game.

Viper Element Yellow	Known as the fierce Lord of El Nido and the former leader of the Acacia Dragoons.
How to Recruit
Return to S.S Invincible (Another World) after rescuing Riddel from the Porre Army at Viper Manor.

Guldove (Another World)

Orlha (First Step)

Character	Profile
Orlha Element Blue	A beautiful bartender from Guldove who can easily prove to anyone that she can handle herself in battle. Combining beauty, brawns, and intelligence, Orlha is truly a force to be reckoned with.
How to Recruit
With Lynx in your party, defeat Orlha in Guldove (Another World). She gives you the Sapphire Brooch.

Marbule (Home World)

Character	Profile
Miki Element Red	The lead dancer of the musical group, Magical Dreamers, along with the frontman Nikki. She is passionate with her craft and cares deeply for the people she shares a stage with.
How to Recruit
At the conclusion of a special concert, and after clearing all the monsters on Marbule (Home World), return to the S.S. Zelbess and speak with Miki in the restaurant.

Gaea's Navel (Home World)

Character	Profile
Leah Element Yellow	A young girl born in prehistoric times. She has been trapped in Gaea's Navel for as long as she could remember. Leah joins Serge and his allies in hopes of finding the truth about her family.
How to Recruit
Approaches the party at Gaea's Navel (Home World).

Guldove (Home World)

Character	Profile
Steena Element White	A Shrine Maiden and prophet who immediately recognizes Serge thanks to her visions. With the hopes of her prophecies to bear fruit, she aids Serge and his allies to difficult situations that come their way.
How to Recruit
Defeat the 6 Dragon Gods, then find Steena in the Shrine Maiden's tent in Guldove (Home World).

Fort Dragonia (Home World) - Serge's Return

Draggy (Second Step)

Character	Profile
Draggy Element Red	After hatching once placed on an incubator at Fort Dragonia, Draggy joins Serge and his allies to find what happened to her parents as well as the other Dragonians across El Nido.
How to Recruit
In Fort Dragonia (Home World), take the elevator down and place the Big Egg in the center incubator.

Guldove (Another World)

Orlha (Second Step)

Character	Profile
Orlha Element Blue	A beautiful bartender from Guldove who can easily prove to anyone that she can handle herself in battle. Combining beauty, brawns, and intelligence, Orlha is truly a force to be reckoned with.
How to Recruit
After Serge is reborn, return to Orlha's bar and show her the Brooch.
