Harle Joins at the Dimensional Vortex
Harle will automatically join your party as she guides you through the Dimensional Vortex.
This happens right after Serge switches bodies with Lynx at Fort Dragonia (Another World).
Dimensional Vortex Walkthrough
Leaves the Party After Rescuing Riddel
After rescuing Riddel from the Porre Army and heading to Hermit's Hideaway, Harle will permanently leave the party.
Harle's Question
Harle will ask Serge a question before she leaves the party for good. Any answer will still lead to the same outcome (she will still leave), just with different reactions depending on your answer.

How to Unlock Harle Level 7 Tech Skill
Automatically Unlocked at 25 Stars
Lunalretic is Harle's level 7 tech which is a dark element that hits all enemy targets. Aside from being able to hit multiple targets, it also has a chance to freeze enemies.

Harle Story Explained - What Happened to Harle?
| This section contains spoilers for the main story of Chrono Cross. |
Harle is the Seventh Dragon God
Near the end of Chrono Cross, it is revealed that there is a Seventh Dragon God and that Harle is an extension of it.
Harle had to leave Serge's party for them to obtain the Frozen Flame from the Seventh Dragon God. With that, she had to get out of their way and inevitably fuse with the Dragon God for it to achieve its true form. Defeating it would have Serge and his allies obtain the Frozen Flame, but would also mean taking down their former ally.
Harle Didn't Want to Leave
Before she leaves the party, Harle has a conversation with Starky, frustrated by her fate of having to stay away from Serge after growing fond of him.
In the cutscene, Harle sheds a tear and Starky learns what it means to grieve.
Tasked to Retrieve the Frozen Flame
Since the start, Harle's task was to retrieve the Frozen Flame and to have her fuse with the Seventh Dragon God along with it.
In order to achieve this, she allies with Lynx and was present during the orphanage on fire, killing Lucca and leaving Kid helpless and alone.
Later in the story, Harle further understands humans and their relationships with one another, which makes her question her overall purpose.
