How to Change Party Members

Requires a Tele-Porter

Teleporter Location.png

To start swapping out party members, you'll need to obtain the Teleporter key item. This item cannot be missed and is given to you by Kid whether you accepted her request to join your party early on or not while in Termina.

How to Get the Tele-Porter Key Item

Swap During Save Points or the World Map

Any time the party is in Record of Fate (the floating green pyramids) or on the world map, you can use the Teleporter to swap out party members. Take note of this especially if you feel like there's an upcoming boss fight so you can switch up your tactics!

When either on the overworld map or under a Record of Fate, press the Open Key Item Window Button (Y Button on the Nintendo Switch) to open the items menu, then select the Tele-porter. From there, choose which character you want to swap out! Note that you can only have 3 characters in your team at once.
