Chrono Cross Remaster: Radical Dreamers

How to Beat Pentapus

Add to Watchlist

Pentapus Banner
This is a boss guide on how to beat Pentapus in Chrono Cross Remaster: The Radical Dreamers Edition. Read on to learn more information on Pentapus, its Abilities, item drops, and how to beat Pentapus fast!

How to Beat Pentapus

Don't Use Red Elements Against It

While it can be tempting to go all out with Red Elemental attacks against a Blue-innate boss, it is not recommended to do so.

Unleashing any Red-innate attack against the Pentapus will cause it to counter with its Tech Skill, Hexahitter.

Instead, consider using strong, non-Red Elemental attacks to whittle down its health and prevent any complications!

Watch Out for its Tech Skills

Pentapus

The Pentapus' Tech Skills can deal massive damage and can easily take out your party one by one if you're not careful.

Always keep your health up and break the Field Effect should it go Blue!

General Tips

Heal Consistently

Recover All

It is recommended to heal when your health goes any lower than 70 percent to mark yourself safe from the Pentapus' Tech Skill, Hexahitter.

Use Tablets or Cure abilities before ending your turn to make sure you can take any attacks the Pentapus will throw at you!

Learning About Field Effects

Field Guide

This battle is a perfect example of using Field Effects to one's advantage.

It is highly recommended to monitor Field Effects as it can influence the damage you deal and receive to and from your foes.

In this case, having a fully Blue Field Effect will be dangerous for your party especially when Pentapus uses its Tech Skill, Hexahitter.
