Objectives | |

1 | ・Collect Items Once you arrive at the Isle of the Damned, there will be many items to nab. You'll find that they'll be behind locked doors but this shouldn't be a problem. Simple lure a WillO'Wisp over to a door and defeat it there. It will explode and burn the door, granting access. |
2 | ・Take the Mirrors In order to get to the sword, you'll need to use the mirrors and Garai's Keepsake. They will bring you between screens, but without the keepsake you won't be able to move through them. You'll need to find the right mirrors to enter and exit from to make it to where you need to go. |
3 | ・Solve the Mirror Puzzle From the entrance, head to the exit on the lower left side and in the second area, run through the middle of the ribcage going south. When you're at the next section, use Garai's Keepsake in front of the mirror and pass through it. The grave of Garai is just beyond the cave at the center. |
Boss 4 |
・Defeat Garai It's never this simple though and as you approach the grave, Garai will rise to fight you and your party. |
5 | ・Receive Einlanzer Once you have defeated the ghost of Garai, you'll receive the Einlanzer and can make your way back towards the Dead Sea! |

The Wight Knight is a unique enemy that can only be fought once. If Sprigg is the one who lands the last blow, it will be available as a transformation for her from then on.
To fight the Wight Knight, first engage with a Will O' Wisp enemy in front of the knight's armor. After you defeat the enemy, the armor will spring to life and you'll have to defeat the Wight Knight. You'll also get the Golden Tiara after this fight.
While it is a difficult fight, without Harle you stand a low chance of defeating Garai. You'll need her to use her MoonShine ability quickly to keep Garai from decimating your party with his first strike.
Luckily, he only uses Tech Skills so you can use Elements like HiRes, LoRes, Nimble, Numble, Weaken, and Strengthen to turn the tides in your favor.

I played through island of the damned but lost to Garai quickly. I realize now that I should have strategized better but after re-started and went back to the island (last save was on zelbess) the will o wisp won’t fight me or follow me no matter what I do including running into it. Leaving the island doesn’t help. Re-loading from last save does nothing. I can’t advance through the story if I can’t fight the will o wisp to enter the island. Anyone else have this issue? What can I do?

Is it possible you have the "invincibility" code turned on (L3 I think)? It will show a running away symbol in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
