There have been a number of changes and censorship made in the Chrono Cross Remaster: The Radical Dreamers Edition, be it through dialogue, removal of accents, and even clothing. Read on to see the list of changes and censored content for the Chrono Cross Remaster!

All Remaster Dialogue Changes

Removal of Suggestive Dialogue

While a number of dialogue tweaks have been made for the Chrono Cross Remaster, one line in particular sparked the interest of series veterans since the release of the 1999 classic.

At Arni Village (Home World), Serge's conversation with Leena's sibling, Una, has long been debated by fans for being offensive and inappropriate, especially since it's said by such a young character.

Una Original Dialogue Text

“Could you, like, break her in a little? You know, make her act a little more ladylike?”

In the remaster, Una's dialogue has been reworked, now asking Serge if he could make Leena act nicer to him as Leena is known to have a sharp tongue at times.

Mojo's Accent Removed

Another dialogue change that players picked up is the removal of Mojo's accent. In the original game, Mojo would end some words and sentences with '-om' when he speaks.

Many speculate that Mojo's accent was removed to prevent any complications as the phrase, 'Om', is a sacred symbol in Hinduism.

Some Dialogue Keeps Mojo's Accent

Despite all of that, however, not all of Mojo's dialogue have been changed. There are instances wherein Mojo still says '-om', like when Serge visits him at Arni Village (Another World) when he's not in the party.

For the remaster, younger characters like Marcy, Razzly, and Leah are given shorts underneath their outfits to prevent the exposure of their underwear.

Only Added to Updated Character Models

When the graphical style is set to Classic at the game selection screen of the remaster, all character model changes such as the shorts will be removed and the original design will be kept.
