How to Save in Chrono Cross Remaster

Use the Main Menu

In most cases, players will go to the menu screen to save. Pick Save/Load from the menu screen. From there players will be able to pick from one of two save slots. The two save slots act as folders where more slots to save over can be found inside.

Each slot contains manual 14 save slots and 1 slot for autosaving, making 15 slots in total. The first save slot is always designated for autosave. Choose from any slot to save or load.

The Main Menu can only be accessed on the overworld map and when players are near a Record of Fate. Take advantage of saving from the menu, especially during important points in the story!

Use Record of Fate

Players can also save by going up to a Record of Fate. Going up to the Record of Fate will autosave the game.

Is There Autosave?

Autosave is Available

When playing Chrono Cross Remaster, there will be an autosave function. Moving from one section of the map and into the overworld will trigger the autosave. Going up to a Record of Fate will also trigger an autosave.

Players will be able to see a red circle with the word, AUTOSAVE, written right next to it.

Can You Turn Off Autosave?

Autosave will be available but players will not be able to turn it off.
