Talk to Serge's Mother Defeat Him in Battle as Lynx

Beat Him in Arni Village (Home World) as Lynx

Talk to Serge's Mother

After escaping the Dimensional Vortex, head to Arni Village (Home World) and speak with Serge's mother, Marge.

Defeat Him in Battle as Lynx

Afterwards, Radius will arrive and mistake Serge as Lynx and attack him. After defeating Radius, he will calm down, assess the situation, and join the party.

Automatically Learned at Star Level 35

Radius' level 7 tech Vital Energy is automcatically learned at 35 star levels. Stars can be obtained by defeating bosses so progress through the game naturally to learn this tech!

Radius Story Explained

Former Acacia Dragoon Deva

During his prime, Radius was considered one of the Acacia Dragoon's best swordsmen alongside Garai.

Radius, Garai, and Zappa were known to be the original Dragoon Devas before it became Karsh, Zoah, Marcy, and the late Dario.

Garai's Death and the Masamune

Having heard of the legendary sword, the Masamune, Garai and Radius set forth on a journey to find the sword.

The moment they found the blade, Radius immediately picked it up and unknowingly got possessed by its dark energy.

As they make their way back to base, under the influence of the Masamune, Radius and ends up killing Garai by slashing his back.

Radius' Retirement

After the death of his ally and dear friend Garai, Radius retires from being a member of the Acacia Dragoons and decided to stay over at Arni Village.

There, he vowed to help out as many people as possible as either a village chief, consultant, or even an ally of Serge as a way to atone for his sins.

Radius in Radical Dreamers

Imprisoned at the Viper Manor Dungeon

Although not officially confirmed, many fans consider the old man inside the Viper Manor Dungeon in Radical Dreamers to be Radius.

During the old man's cutscene, he stated that he was a former member of the Acacia Dragoons, much like the Radius we know over at Chrono Cross.

Likewise, he shares the same character design with Radius, being a bald, frail old man, with a long white beard.
