How to Beat Bunyip

Watch Out for its Elemental Attacks

Bunyip Magma Bomb

Bunyip has a lot of tricks up its sleeve. The boss boasts a number of hard-hitting Elemental Abilities, namely Magma Bomb and Free Fall.

Magma Bomb deals Red-innate damage to all your party members, while Free Fall deals Black-innate damage to one character, both of which can deal over 100 damage.

Switches Elements Midway

Bunyip Form Change

Halfway into the fight, Bunyip will change forms. Consequently, its innate Element will switch from Red to Black as well, which could be both an advantage offensively for Serge, but a disadvantage defensively as well.

Go All Out with Serge's Tech Skills

Serge Luminaire

Now that Bunyip is a Black-innate boss, go all out with Serge's Tech Skills, and have your other party members use White Elements to capitalize on its weakness.

Heal After Devil Thunda is Casted

Recover All

Be sure to heal up when Bunyip unleashes its powerful Tech Skill, Devil Thunda, as it can easily deal over 100 damage, and moreso for Serge.

While Serge is an excellent attacker for this battle, he is also one of the characters that will take the most damage against a Black-innate enemy.

Use Inferno Trap ASAP

Inferno Capture
Bunyip is an early enemy you can get an Inferno element from. Make sure to capture this element not only to gain a strong element early but to also prevent Bunyip from inflicting severe damage to your team!
