Recruit Karsh by Rescuing Riddel

Go to Termina's Bar (Another World)

After The Dead Sea, go into the back room of Termina's Bar (Another World).

Choose Karsh to Rescue Riddel

While in the back of the bar, talk to Viper to progress the story. Choose Karsh to rescue Riddel from the Porre Army.

What if You Choose Zoah?

If you choose Zoah, Karsh will join later on at the S.S. Invincible (Another World) after rescuing Riddel.

How to Unlock Karsh Level 7 Tech Skill

Defeat Solt and Peppor in Isle of the Damned

Solt and Peppor will fight for real this time in the Isle of the Damned. They're still not difficult but no more gags this time. After defeating them, Karsh will learn his Level 7 Tech Skill, Axiomatic.

Proceeding this quest is also required to obtain the Mastermune which is Serge's strongest weapon.

You can start doing this quest as soon as you complete rescuing Riddel in Viper Manor.

Karsh Story Explained

Karsh Origins

Karsh is the son of Zappa the blacksmith and former Deva. Since his early childhood, he's been friends with Dario and Riddel. With a strong friendship and rivalry with Dario, they were both able to become Devas.

Encountering Masamune

An assignment in Isle of the Damned (Another World) led to Dario and Karsh re-discovering the Masamune. The corruption from the evil sword led Dario to try and kill Karsh, who in turned was forced to kill Dario in self-defense.

Since then, grief and rumors of Karsh killing Dario because the latter's engagement to Riddel, began to weigh down on him. Of course, his unrequited love for Riddel made things worse.

Encountering Serge

His first encounter with Serge was on Cape Howl (Another World). Karsh was given an assigment by Lynx to capture Serge. After being beaten he fights Serge one last time in Mount Pyre (Another World), along with three other Devas, Marcy and Zoah, resulting in their loss.

Rescuing Riddel

During Porre's occupation of Termina (Another World) and Viper Manor (Another World), Riddel was held hostage by the Porre military, but with the help of Serge they were able to rescue her. Karsh permanently joins Serge's party right after.
