How to Evolve Pip

What Influences Pip's Evolution?
Checkmark.png Elements Used in Battle

Checkmark.png Elements Witnessed in Battle

Checkmark.png Elemental Attacks Taken in Battle

Pip's evolution is influenced by the Elements he's used and witnessed, as well as Elemental attacks he has taken during battle.

The game tallies this invisibly, and once the dominant Element has met the threshold for evolution, Pip will evolve in the middle of battle to its respective form, provided that the battle rewards you with a Star Level (★).

Whatever was the dominant Element from his evolution, it will now be Pip's new innate Element.

Choosing Which Form to Evolve To

In order to control Pip's evolution and innate Element, it is recommended to allocate the Elements in your party that you want for him, and use it against enemies of the same Element.

By doing this, the Elements Pip will use, witness, and take will be controlled, increasing the chances of unlocking the form you want.

Best Form and Advantages

Generally, Pip's forms from the Angel route are stronger in terms of magic, while forms from the Devil route are stronger in physical attacks.

The Holy Beast form lies in the middle of the two other forms, being the best in both magic and physical attacks.

How to Unlock Pip Level 7 Tech Skill

Varies Between Evolutions

Evolve Pip to Its Angel + Devil Form

CanonCannon
Pip has three final evolution form which is a pure devil route, a pure angel route, and a devil angel route. You'll have to evolve pip to either the first holy form or the first devil form then evolve it to the other path to attain a mix of both forms. You'll also need to gain another star level to increase Pip's grid levels, otherwise, you won't be able to use any element past the level 6 grids.

List of All Bosses

Obtainable in NG +

New Game + Screen
Pip's empowered Pounce can only be obtained by following through specific steps. First is you'll need to evolve Pip. This is a necessary step as Pip's base form is locked into level 6 grids only. Once done, you have to complete the game, during this time, you'll amass star levels which will naturally increase Pip's grid past level 7 (will happen around 35 star levels). Once done, complete the game then re-recruit Pip again in NG+ or Continue+. The previously earned level 7 slot tech will now be replaced by Pip's Pounce +4

Is Pip’s glitch fixed in the remaster version?

1 Anonymousover 2 years

Pip has three final evolutions. Aside from the angel into Archangel and devil into Archdevil forms there is the Holy Beast form with horns and rainbow fey wings. It's obtained by using the opposite elements of the form he first evolves into. So if angel is the first evolution go heavy into black, red and yellow. If devil go with green, blue and white. The element he winds up with may not match what the form needs to evolve so you can get a red Archangel or a white Archdevil.
